Sounds like a pretty good outcome IMHO.

What if Trump doesn't get out?

Cruz fan here. However, from what I am seeing it looks like Donald Trump may well be making himself president.

They make Cruz sound so calculating. Heck, he’s probably enjoying Trump’s candidacy as much as anyone.
It’s a fact Trump has done nothing but good for Cruz so far!

If you were Ted Cruz, would you enjoy being in third place in Iowa 10+ points behind Donald Trump and behind Dr. Ben Carson?

You mean instead of being Rand Paul, Rick Perry or Lindsey Graham?

For all the rage we hear from the msm/GOPe about Trump, I guarantee you if it came to down to a 2-way choice between Trump and Cruz, they would take Trump in a heartbeat.

They FEAR Donald Trump, but they HATE Ted Cruz!

And that’s the bar for Ted Cruz? To be higher than the 1% group?

Trump is the bull dog. He never quits about something he really wants. And his ambition now is to make America Great. He is not known to be a quitter.

Because how Ted Cruz has treated Trump, I definitely see some major benefit to Cruz via Trump. Whatever Cruz wants in a Trump admin, he will get. Cruz should not drop out of the race, because anything can happen to Trump. He is 69 years old. His health may suffer a setback. El Chapo has made threats on Trump.

Trump/Cruz...unless one, the other, or both have a massive Faux Pas. Even many Democrats are sitting on the fence.

It’s not like we haven’t been talking about this here on FR since Trump got into the race.

I’d like to see Cruz, in the event of a Trump
win, take a pass on VP or a cabinet position.

He’d make a MUCH better replacement for Anthony Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Antonin Scalia ....

It is magical thinking to believe that Trump will help Cruz. The people who support Trump are not interested in what Cruz has to offer, outside of the immigration issue. Cruz is a principled conservative all down the line. The cultural conservatives who support Trump could care less about Cruz’s stance on smaller government, a big part of who he is. The just want the America of the past again, and that did not include small government. A Trump voter is as likely to vote for the Democrat in the general election as for the GOP candidate, if Trump is not involved. As I see it, Trump and Cruz are appealing to two different audiences.

What senate do you think would vote to confirm him?

Great - hide him away in the Supreme Court .. huge waste .. we need him working with Trump - writing all the legislation needed to implement Trump’s plans .. that’s much better.

Cruz may find himself as second banana. Trump would never take second place.

Did you know that is is not illegal to be paid for your vote as a delegate to the Republican convention? That is a knee slapper.

Its probably more illegal not to pay them./s

My thoughts exactly! They have called him a clown, they have said he was a wife rapist, They have literally thrown the kitchen sink at him and he just gets more popular. As it stands he can get the nomination on the first ballot based on winning the winner take all states and the percentage of those that are divided by order of showing. He simply needs another 7 to 8 points nationally in order to walk into the nomination.

It has been stated he has a massive ground presence in Iowa, which is all getting to the caucus and yelling down your competitions base. He has a massive lead in New Hampshire and a growing lead in SC.

After SC if he has won three states, It is OVER. No one could compete as he is self financed and all the others have to go begging to get their $.

Simply Trumps nomination to lose!
