Cruz has teams in every county in Iowa (there are 99) while I don’t believe Carson does. That is how you win in a caucus state.

I don’t think I even want Carson in the Cabinet anymore.

Trump is good at bringing out competitor’s inner snakes. Especially this week. Still stunned by Jindal’s scathing attack.

I think Ben Carson is a good doctor. He might be a good Surgeon General. Other than that I don’t want him for anything.

As more candidates drop out Ted Cruz’s numbers will nudge up slowly and steady.

Donald Trump has about peaked out.

The only way for Ben Carson to get in is chosen as VP running mate.

Having Cruz in the Senate is more important than having him as VP. If Trump were to win, it is possible that Cruz would be the next Senate Majority Leader. There is certainly a good argument for him as VP since he wield considerable influence, if not a vote on most issues in the Senate.

Perhaps a better situation would be Trump/Carson

Um. No.

Amnesty-shill Carson is the wrong answer.

Carson is Herman Cain 2.0, except with more Amnesty.

I am not sure id Dr Ben Carson would qualify as surgeon General as they are always chosen from the military, as the Army, Navy, Air Force etc. Dr Ben Carson was never in the military. Also the Secretary of health and human services is over the Surgeon General

You should have come out with that before his announcement that he was running for president. Besides if he does not get the nomination or Donald Trump will not choose him as his running mate, or in any other cabinet office he will still be in in the senate because he is not due for reelection until 2018.

Senator Rand Paul of KY who is running for both the presidency and his reelection to the Senate which is due in 2016. He had to have a special permission from KY that he could run for his senatorial reelection.

This is the mostly likely outcome for pres./vp in 2016. Barring some very yuge revaluation about Trump, all forces point at this working. Also, all forces point at Cruz 8 years later.

If you're these two, you couldn't be taking over the country at a more depressed point. All business men want to buy low, sell high. In politics, you want to enter low, leave high.

There is such an opportunity for these two to do good. And Trump needs a Cruz to keep him grounded, not to mentioned school him in the basic philosophy of liberty and freedom ... although it's easy to believe Trump will 'get it' ... he's just never looked at it rigorously. Cruz needs Trump for the charisma to rub off.

Together, though, they've got it covered, and their differences in style protect each other from (or compensate for) each others' weaknesses.

I am a big Cruz fan, and he’s my candidate. But his continual sucking up to the Democrat plant remains troubling.

Stand firm, Senator. You’re an attack dog for conservatism, not Trump’s puppy.
