Good analysis but not quite correct. His businesses will continue to be run by family and senior management. He will have to recuse himself from their active management but will still personally benefit from their income and will pay taxes on same.
Quite Impressive for a Multi Billionare/s
He said if he is elected he won’t take a salary.
But none of the family members have a proven history of making Billions of dollars like Donald Trump. Many family businesses go down when the original owner passes.
“...bombastic, anti-immigrant rhetoric...”
OMG, I am having heckuva time finding an article in the media which refrains from using pejorative adjectives for Donald Trump.
GOPe is upset at Trump, Media writers do not like Trump, “conservative” pundits are against Trump, and Democratic Underground is going ballistic on Trump.
So....only the vast silent majority middle class is rooting for Trump. And that includes my sister who is a lifelong Hillary fan and a democrat, is voting for Trump in California! Her issue? illegals!
you are a racist, probably a serial killer, and you throw kittens in the river if you are against filthy wetback MS13 members legally crossing the borders and tying a woman to a “rape tree” occasionally and having their way
Us being ANYBODY who pays taxes and lives in a a State.
Trump needs to go the extra mile and ascribe nefarious motives to those degenerate scumbags that live in DC and environs.
This CONSPIRACY OF FEDERAL APPARATCHIKS, POLITICIANS, LOBBYISTS, AND PRESS have been busy stealing money via the IRS from the productive class across the USA, skimming off the top for themselves, and redistributing the rest for votes.
The party is over.
If Trump quits the race AFTER the convention, I will jump out of my second story window.
Make sure the pool below the window has adequate amounts of water before you jump :)
By that logic, any super wealthy candidate is necessarily "very sincere with non-selfish motives." Which is plainly wrong.
Also, you are forgetting the OTHER big thing that motivates (some) people -- power.
PING
The Race and Trump - would would make him leave?
In 55 years since arriving in this country, I have not witnessed a self-financed candidate, with better name recognition than ALL career politicians, and a personality to easily confront hostile media, like this dude, Donald J. Trump. He is a foot taller than the previous Billionaire, H. Ross Perot, deals with reporters and crowds 100 times better than Perot ever did.
Again Billionaires are dime a dozen. But no one has the guts to run and capture poll numbers like Trump has. What is the last time you recall ANY candidate, leading in every poll, in every state, by comfortable margins?
This is a very unusual candidate, the likes of which will not be seen again for many many decades.
Rush Limbaugh all but ENDORSED Ted Cruz....calling him the most truly Conservative Candidate.
perhaps this will make the donnie.....split for another party??
I took it as an honest answer, and as wishful thinking on the part of the media.
He's funding his own campaign, so of course if he totally tanks he would eventually bail out. Other candidates on the other hand don't mind hanging in there since it's not their own money.
BTTT!
Only after Cruz has been nominated....theory is, the two work together. We shall see, won’t we?
“Any candidate who is willing to take a pay cut from $400 million current income down to $0.4 Million (presidents salary) is very sincere with non-selfish motives.”
I believe he said he wouldn’t take a presidential salary.
Why do they keep asking the front runner if he will drop out or go third party.
A hint to the losers in the race who ARE at 1-2% and who have no chance in the world of getting the nomination. Makes you wonder why they're really running.
I don't know if they're working together but their running friendly campaigns. I don't see any path to the nomination for Ted Cruz. None. He's trailing Trump in TX. I think the best we can hope for where Cruz is concerned is a Trump/Cruz ticket.
