I'd settle for Newt Gingrich or even Sam Rayburn vs. Boehner or his mini-me.

Yes!
Continue to run for President and be Speaker.
Not a terrible stretch for such an incredible guy. The one can leverage the other.

I love the idea of Cruz. I love the idea of Newt. Newt has great conservative vision and the ability to negotiate. Cruz is a Senator and a Candidate for President. I vote Newt!!I simply think Newt should throw his hat in the ring!!!Let the best win!!

It’s going to be Webster....in bed with Jeb

I have been pleading my congressman for many years to reject Boehner. In the last vote, he didn’t cast a vote siting a doctor’s appointment. John Carter - TX has a score of 54% (F) Liberty rating on Conservative Review. He needs to be primary’d out of his job.

Should Cruz not get the nomination or sign on as a member of the Administration, SOTH would be a great appointment. He could still sit in the Senate and beat on Mitch to resign.

"It would be historic" to elect Cruz Speaker.
Isn't that what we heard every 3 seconds about electing 0?

Cruz is the perfect person for the job.
The opposite of Nancy Pelosi, but the same regarding her total lack of cross-the-aisle cooperation.
We need a tough guy to take on the Socialists.

Newt told Hannity today to round up 218 votes and get back to him. That would be a super good outcome!

music to my ears if Newt Gingrich would be drafted.

The media are out for his blood. Just saw a Salon article.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
We need Cruz in the Senate if he does not make it to the Presidency. There are others, though, that would be good.
What about J.C. Watts?

He doesn’t have to leave the senate to be Speaker of the House. It would allow him to control the House AND the Senate ;-)
