An objective look at it:
First, nobody had to question her about her son’s arrest...she brought it up herself in a political rally, during her speech. Nothing to ‘steer clear’ of but herself.
As far as Track’s mental health is concerned - As part of outprocessing from the military, soldiers are asked about all aspects of their health, to include mental, as part of the paperwork for disability claims. If Track has no prior history of PTSD, no prior declarations to commanders, outprocessing staff, or VA staff that he had issues, well its a little too convenient to bring it up now. I don’t know if he has or not...nor should I. But this brings up the next question - why is his mother announcing his medical condition to the world at a political rally?
I can very much understand why veterans groups did not like the term being ‘thrown out there’, in the manner it was.
