“Ah the old meaningless “get things done” canard. Get what done?”

I hate to break the news to you, but there are some things that NEED TO GET DONE, starting with clearing out the Illegals. If it’s not done in the next term, they all become citizens in one way or another, and QUICKLY, given the new make up of the Supreme Court we’re about to get. Once they are citizens we might as well fold up this site, as all our griping will have NO VOICE in DC.

I don’t see Cruz as having the gonads to do what’s necessary to clear these people out, but Trump certainly does. As to whether he actually intends to...I realize that many here claim to be able to channel his thoughts and their divining rods tell them that Trump is a big fake. Unfortunately, I don’t have that ability, so I’ll take him at his word, given what he’s said and done already.

“what are you going to do when the things Trump gets done are not the things you want done?”

So far I tend to agree with JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING he wants to get done (i.e., clear the Illegals, seal the border, fix health care, support the Second Amendment, take care of veterans, appoint conservative judges, etc.).

The few things that I don’t agree with, I can tolerate and are generally VERY MINOR in comparison.

So what about Trump’s plans do you object to? Or do you also have the ability to channel his thoughts with a divining rod, and he’s telling you that he’s a fraud?

Actually it was his German Grandfathers name. It was “Americanized” if you will later. Like many Germans did because of “the wars” if ya get my meaning. Our family dropped the Von from the Kluge. Muslims talk about harassment. They ain't seen harassment!
Go Trump

You have forgotten that the founder of FR, Jim Robinson, had identified Ted Cruz as his candidate of choice?

Is Jim Robinson stupid, or just ignorant? Answer that question.

Honey, I didn’t call anyone who supports Cruz stupid or ignorant. I didn’t even call Cruz that. I believe I said Cruz had no principles, was a liar and using innuendo.

Do you believe you are stupid or just ignorant for supporting Cruz? Why would you assume that I said that unless you are projecting?

Well, I hate to break it to you, FRiend, but just as Trump says he is not beholden to donors, he is also not beholden to the voters. He will say whatever he needs to get your vote. If he’s the nominee I’ll vote for him against Bernie or The Felon, but I have no trust at all that he’ll do anything he says now. Anyone who thinks he’s going to “clear out the illegals” is deluding himself.

Cruz also voted for the Corker bill that gave Obama the power to lift Iran sanctions and allow them to build nukes.

Anyone that supports Cruz, given the fact that he has no principles (let alone the fact that he’s constitutionally ineligible and slimy) is stupid and/or ignorant, right?

I hear all this talk about “conservatives.” What, exactly, has any of these “conservatives” conserved? I look around our country and see it inching closer and closer to the brink of becoming just another 3rd World dung-heap.

I see a country that has taken on the look and feel of an empire, where more and more people have less and less in common. The only thing we have in common is that we are ruled by an elite class located a great distance away, who cares absolutely nothing about us or our concerns.

I see a country that once was the arsenal of democracy and is now a country of burger flippers, mall clerks, and civil servants of the federal, state and local type.

I see a school system that was once the envy of the world, and now sinking rapidly as we spend more and more time browbeating people into submission to whatever the lords of Political Correctness pontificate about and hand down from NY City or Hollywood.

I see a “popular culture” that is more and more vulgar, coarse and sleazy.

The “conservatives” have only managed to conserve their wealthy. They laugh at us when we demand that they do something to actually “conserve” our country and way of life. Election after election we hold our noses and vote for the latest fool that we are told is good for us. Then they laugh at us even more.

The radio and TV conservatives yammer on endlessly, peddling their books, and magazines, which we, like trained seals snap up, and they line their pockets with our hard earned money.

Now, tell me what any of the “conservatives’ I hear so much about have conserved, and why the Hell we should listen to them any longer!!

Trump holds no conservative principles. Never supported a conservative idea, candidate or cause prior to his campaign announcement.

Possibly misinformed? I doubt there are any stupid and/or ignorant people on this forum.

You are trying very hard to start a fight. Why?

“He will say whatever he needs to get your vote.”

Rubio has a HISTORY of doing that. Cruz has done some questionable things. I still have trouble understanding how people can read Trump’s mind and say he’s worse. I just don’t have that ability.

Number 1: I do not trust the man at all
Number 2 He is exceedingly vague about what he plans to do.
Number 3 Anybody can say anything about what they want to do and it means nothing
Number 4 He has no record of any sort in government
Number 5 The only record he has is a record of statements he has made in the past which are all over the map.

“Number 1: I do not trust the man at all”
I know that Rubio FLAT OUT LIED to get elected to the Senate and Cruz’s explanation of his amendment to Rubio’s bill simply MAKES NO SENSE.

“Number 2 He is exceedingly vague about what he plans to do.”
Go to his website, his DETAILED position papers are there. Much more detailed than the others, by the way. But no, you hear much at his speeches, they serve a different purpose.

“Number 3 Anybody can say anything about what they want to do and it means nothing”
I prefer a blank slate to a PROVEN LIAR (Rubio) or a person that I can’t figure out (Cruz).

“Number 4 He has no record of any sort in government”
I thought you were posting ANTI-TRUMP talking points.

“Number 5 The only record he has is a record of statements he has made in the past which are all over the map.”

Yes and no. If you only look at this campaign he has probably been more consistent than anyone else (i.e., it took Cruz 5 months to figure out that he wanted to deport illegals and build a wall)...If you go further back, then he was pretty much everywhere, I’ll concede that.

Donald Trump was attacking Mitt Romney for his “mean-spirited” immigration plan that he said would cost him the “Latino vote” He has admitted to breaking federal law by knowingly employing illegal aliens and his current deportation scheme is nothing more than Kay Bailey Hutchinson’s touchbach amnesty. The fake conservatism is glaring given his registration with as a Democrat, his contributions to the DSCC, left wing Democrats from Obama’s chief of staff to Hillary Clinton, contributions to the Clinton Foundation, and donated office space to Jackson’s Rainbow Push. On healthcare, he’s right along side Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton supporting a government takeover of the entire industry rationing care for the whole country. He’s an abortion supporter and a gun grabber.

Yes, Rubio is a total sleaze. If he were the nominee, I would have a very very hard time pulling the lever at all. Trump, I have less hesitation against Bernie or The Felon, but I realize it’s still a gamble. Rubio is scum. Jeb just doesn’t even deserve my vote.
