Apparently you mistakenly think that a Cook COUNTY Circuit Court has jurisdiction over a federal Constitutional issue.

There are reasons why this NBC question has never been addressed that clarifies regarding POTUS. It hasn’t just been ignored for 200+ years, its been avoided by the Federal Courts, like the possum avoids the axe handle.

Absent more or better info, How the state of Illinois chooses and instructs its state electors to the electoral college appears to have been intended to be primarily at least a state issue, from what we know so far anyway — if somebody has better information they’ll almost certainly share it with us here . (I assume but do not know if this case is filed in the correct court in Illinois... If it’s not, the court will certainly so advise ... We will see what happens ...) and I remain very open to learning more or better about this. Jurisdictional questions can be very, well, arcane... Even weird, actually. But a state’s electors to the electoral college were at least set up to represent that state and be subject to that state’s jurisdiction primarily.
