“Cruz only has to win 55-45% only going forward. Nothing to it.”

Either you are misinformed, or lying. Cruz needs Over 85%.

I said it before if Cruz makes a deal with Trump then It will only go to prove that every accusation that the Thumpeters have thrown at Ted are true.

That said once Cruz has been proven to be ‘NASTY FELLOW’ Trumpeters have been claiming him to be it would be more than enough to proof that he doesn’t even deserve the VP slot.

Lastly if Trump makes a the deal with someone as dispectable as the Trumpeters will have then proven Ted to be it would mean that Trump will make a deal with anyone so sooner or later he will sell us all out.

Hasn’t Ted Cruz already said he would support Donald Trump if Trump is nominated as the Republican candidate? If anyone needs to wake up it is those who expect Cruz now to yield to a candidate who has less substance than a bag of wind.

Cruz can still win, mathematically steam ng. But the odds are tremendously against him - he needs something like 80% of the remaining delegates. He won’t get that many against Trump alone, and with Kasich still in this becomes even more difficult.

Perhaps the phone call should come when he is mathematically unable to win - that way he can both preserve his own pride and also help the Party by not allowing a contested convention.

Cruz admitted on Fox news he needs 78% of the remaining delegates to win.

I have a question, if Cruz can’t win delegates during the primary, what makes him think he will be able to pull in more delegates in an open convention?

A totalitarian. Yep, you are one unhinged puppy.

Cruz has sold out on the TPP, and H1B Visas and the Corker bill.

Unlike folks like yourself who get a GovMint retirement check, I have to make a living, and a lot of folks in my industry are being replaced with foreign workers.

Somebody has to pay those taxes that go to the government checks.

Cruz can't be the nominee. We're deep into the GOP presidential race on a key Super Tuesday and he can't even win one state. The nomination winner can't be 0 for 5 on a Super Tuesday. That's not a man on the way to becoming leader of the free world.

Brutal. And true.

Now the Cruz supporters are clinging to the new wishful thinking fantasy of the week: that Cruz will somehow start beating Trump 1-on-1, even though he's a regional candidate and very unlikely to show viability in regions which don't play to his ostensible demographic strengths.

Oh, and, also, um, it's not 1-on-1 yet, and, thanks to Kasich, it's unlikely to be so anytime soon.

The writing is on the wall, ladies and gentlemen. I didn't create the writing, but I can certainly read it...

“Trump is risking his wealth for America for us. If he becomes president then we will owe him our property, our lives, our country, our incomes and our freedom! Truly he is William Wallace of Braveheart only 10 billion times better.”

Your slavish devotion is sickening and scary. Trump is a human being. We do not need a Republican version of Obama - the Anointed One. Trump, like any other office holder, needs a constituency that will hold him accountable. He is not going to part the Red Sea or walk on water. He is going to be bound to the same laws of nature as the rest of us.

Snap out of your starstruck trance.

Just for that I’ll go create many websites that expose Cruz’s votes on the corker bill and other votes like TPA. Iran is now developing nukes because the corker bill passed. Cruz voted for The Corker bill. that’s 1 out of 100 items I’ll put up there.

I think the deal has already been made with Kasich. He is staying in to grab a couple hundred delegates to combine with Trump in case he comes up short. Trump mentioned before about getting someone who knows how to work with congress on pushing through legislation. Gives some cred to uniting the party. Trump still sets the agenda so Kasich’s crazy immigration and trade stances are not an issue. Also might explain very timid attacks on each other. Both dropped out of debate first. Maybe to keep Kasich from getting hammered without Trump there for cover. Just my thoughts. Temperament also balances Trump persona to the public.

Well, I'd say the only reason some folks are asking Cruz to call Trump and perform the proskynesis is because they're worried that Cruz might get the 8 states, and might actually be able to win at the Convention ... If it truly was a foregone conclusion, then Trump supporters wouldn't care whether Cruz hung up his spurs or not.

No, it is not a foregone conclusion at all. But that is not the reason that many Trump supporters believe that Cruz should do the right thing, sooner rather than later. First, if Cruz stays in, and Trump does not get the required delegates to win outright, then it will be a contested convention. Most delegates (the people themselves, not who they will be bound to) have not yet been chosen, but it is a safe assumption that the delegates are going to be more loyal to the party, than they would to Trump. Even Trump delegates can only be safely considered "Trump delegates" in the first round of voting (it depends on state). After the first round, many of them (Trump delegates, and any other delegates) can vote for whomever they choose. Unbound delegates are going to be next to impossible for Trump to grab, in the first round, given the unprecedented lengths to which the party is going to deny him the nomination. The establishment can apply enormous pressure on them -- far more than Trump can. After the first round, Trump will be lucky to avoid losing significant numbers of "his" delegates, as many of them would now be freed from their obligations.

So, the worry among Trump supporters is that Cruz will prevent Trump from having any realistic chance at the nomination, even if Cruz were to fall well short of the threshold, himself.

What is more, if the Republican establishment can get past the first vote, it is important to remember that the rules committee votes prior to the convention. And the rules committee will probably be made up largely of party animals, irrespective of who they are bound to vote for in the first round. While it is unlikely they would put in some kind of rule like "Trump can't win", they can easily game it subtly, to make it easier for them to get their guy in. So even if Cruz gets to a contested election, he, too, is going to find it very difficult to get enough delegates (unless the party decides that Cruz would be a satisfactory compromise between "not Trump" and overt election theft).

Trump supporters are not scared of Cruz. They are scared of the fact that the only thing that Cruz can accomplish is to put the fate of this process in the hands of the establishment, an establishment which clearly has no compunctions about going against the sentiments of their voters.

That is why Cruz should do the right thing, and drop out. This is not like other races in the past, where it was a noble thing to fight until mathematically eliminated. This is outright (peaceful) civil war between the establishment, and Republican voters. And Cruz, by staying in, is only helping the other side. Cruz will not win the nomination, unless the establishment views him as acceptable. If that is the case, is that really someone you would like as the Republican candidate? If he chooses to stay in until mathematically unable to reach the threshold, and, in the process, ensures that nobody does, giving the establishment the means to, essentially, choose the Republican nominee, would you still support Cruz' actions?

What about what I posted is untrue

1. Politicians do have America at the edge of the Abyss
2.TPP will push us into the Abyss.
3.Trump will stop TPP

What you don't like wealth and civilization nor freedom?

What has any politician done to help America? What good law have they passed any one of them, Cruz? No these charlatans have destroyed America. We have some wealth not because of politicians and government but in spite of them because of capitalism.

All they have done is pass bad trade deals , increased trade deficits, explode the debt, more government agencies, more immigrants . all of these things are cancers on America.since you are against me and what I say you are the problem. All you have is insults against me . I haven't done a damn thing it's your Cruz and your politicians that have destroyed America. All i did was just type some words . that shouldn't bother any SANE individual.

I agree. What does Cruz possibly hope to gain from a brokered convention? Nothing. He - is - not - going - to - be - the - nominee. Period. He can’t win it outright on his own. And he won’t be “selected” in the convention process. He doesn’t need to “throw in the towel”, but he does need to “throw his lot in” with Trump. Kasich? Not going to happen. But will Beck let Cruz make that deal??? That would be fun to watch :)
