.. nothing is settled until the convention. Not a thing ..

.. and on that topic I want to extend an olive branch of FRiendship to you, Vet. When it's all over, and you're torn apart with shame and failure and feel the whole world's let you down:

I'm going to be there for you.

Nothing is settled until the convention. Not a thing.

You put all your hopes and dreams on a contested convention ... Trump will get 1300+ ...

Mathematically eliminated in two weeks.

You Trumpkins are so cute... You need to accept that this race will be decided at the convention, not before. Will your candidate be ready? Mine will...

We’ll see how this shakes out. But to me, there is something very odious about giving the nomination to the person with fewer (or the fewest) votes.

Or, worst of all, giving it to a Golden Boy who didn’t get any votes.

To steal a phrase from Trump, “it’s called management”!

Cruz sneaking around to steal delegates. Apparently, Ted has had some practice sneaking around prior to this.

Yeah, I’m not quite sure why people think being able to organize and manage large groups of people to work towards a common goal is a less valuable skill for president that being able to go on all-night twitter rants.

The rules for the caucuses and primaries were set last year and available to all candidates. Cruz is smarter and better organized than the egoist, Trump, and is using the system to his advantage as any intelligent candidate would do. Epic fail for Trump.

I think Trump should stand up and apologize for believing that in a democracy, it is votes that matter.

The United States is not a democracy, and the Founding Fathers abhorred such an idea.

And political parties are private associations, even less expected or required to be a democracy. I find it stunning that so many people over forty years old actually know almost nothing about political parties and the American republic. We’re doomed.

Cruz can not get to 1237 even if God spoke to him. He is toast in 2 weeks. Mathematically eliminated. GOPe is using Cruz as a spoiler and the GOP elites who will dump Cruz in the nearest garbage can like a used toilet paper. Canadian Cruz will never be POTUS. I can bet any money you want.

This convention is going to be great. The best since the dim’s in 68 or 72. Though my favorite is 72.

So Cruz is stealing unelected delegates? Like Hillary? And you’re proud of him? That says quite a bit about both you and your candidate.
__________________________________________________

No Cruz is adhering to the process. Trump was too arrogant to bother with the process preferring to massage his Yuge ego.

It says a lot about your candidates stupidity that you he doesn’t understand the rules that were set over a year ago and published.

HE needs to take responsibility. You OTOH need to grow up.

I thought this was a republic, not a democracy.

When I say democracy I mean democracy vs elected aristocracy (e.g., UK) vs elected dictatorship (e.g. Russia) vs dictatorship (e.g. China). My problem with the use of the word republic is that defining what is meant is a little difficult, some people define it to mean republic vs monarchy, and so republic could include China but would not include the UK. Others define it as something that most people would call a representative democracy rather than direct democracy.

The reason for stating that the UK is an elected aristocracy is that in the UK each party chooses its candidates and then the people vote for the party they would rather see win. It is difficult for backbenchers to oppose the party because the party hands out campaign money and could cut them off. I am not referring to the formal aristocracy that the UK still has, which in reality has less power than the Crown. In the US, individuals can run in primaries for their party's nomination and can oppose the party in actual votes.

Trump has also built casinos and hotels and employees many illegal aliens. He has even had some of these buildings taken into bankruptcy. Between the support for the Clinton Foundation, twitter skills, mockery and business failures, he has quite the resume.

His inability to speak in coherent sentences reveals a disorganized mind. Disorganized like his campaign appears to be in managing the political process.

I am under 40.

Also political parties are not private associations. The 24th amendment directly regulates primaries. In addition, political parties should not be considered private in any sense because they have a direct influence on the government.

One of the more interesting things about this election is that more people are paying attention to how the candidates are nominated and are finding out that they do not like the process.
