Today, HRC released the following statement on Ted Cruzs despicable new campaign ad attacking transgender people.
Ted Cruzs transphobic smear campaign peddles a dangerous brand of hate and ignorance, said HRC Communications Director Jay Brown. At a time when transgender women are at a disproportionately high risk for violence and assault, Ted Cruzs reckless ad puts them at even greater risk. Moreover, what message does Ted Cruz think this sends to transgender youth across this country? We deserve a president wholl fight to protect the rights and dignity of everyone -- not a reckless, feckless politician wholl do or say anything to score a point.
Today, transgender Americans face an epidemic of bias-motivated violence -- particularly transgender women of color. Cruzs video exacerbates an environment where already four in 10 transgender young people report being bullied by their peers, according to an HRC youth survey..
Ted Cruz has made anti-transgender rhetoric an integral part of his bid for the White House. Just this week, his campaign threw a transgender teenager out of a campaign event. During a prior campaign stop in Iowa, he turned a simple question on education into a bigoted rant against the Obama Administration's decision to support a transgender student, falsely accusing officials of forcing the school to "let a little boy take showers with junior high girls." Previously, Cruz made equally offensive comments during an interview with conservative radio host Steven Crowder.
Elsewhere on the campaign trail, Cruz has decried efforts to lift the ban prohibiting transgender Americans from serving openly in the military, even though the American Medical Association approved a resolution earlier this year that said, there is "no medically valid reason to exclude transgender individuals from service in the U.S. military."
Ted Cruzs ad highlights his support for North Carolinas HB2, an anti-LGBT law that forces transgender North Carolinians to use restroom facilities in schools and on publicly-owned property inconsistent with their gender identity. HB2 also attacks minorities by blocking individuals from suing under state employment non-discrimination law on the basis of race, religion, national origin, and sex. Moreover, HB2 bars municipalities from enacting their own non-discrimination protections.
H.B. 2 is opposed by more than 180 major businesses, entertainment and sports leaders, and a majority of North Carolinians. In fact, 61 percent say H.B. 2 has hurt the states image nationally and 61 percent also say the law has hurt the state's ability to attract and retain business. A 64 percent majority of North Carolinians support LGBT nondiscrimination protections. Nationally, nearly 8 out of 10 Americans believe LGBT people are entitled to federal nondiscrimination protections.
transphobic?? WTF is that?
Fear of transit systems.
PIAPS is Heterophobic and projects her fears on others
Aha, the word meaning “I have no argument and wish to sound stupid anyway.”
Phobic

Cause of all those white folk coming down on the Sistas?
Riiiight.
“Rights and dignity”. Seriously. it’s a mental illness. You don’t treat a mental illness by supporting their fantasy.
Fear of Transylvania.
What’s Ted got against vampires?
They’re refering to people who think other people who get their genitals mutilated to resemble that of the opposite sex are stupid.
Some of US keep trying to tell Teddy Cruz he will never be eligible to hold the office of president.... But he just keeps fantasizing that he is entitled just like Obama, as the 'face of God'.
First of all, how is it that "transgender women" (whatever they hell THEY are) are any more exposed to risk today than they ever were, except that in the past, they kept their fruitcakery hidden and now they parade it in front of everyone and dare them to do anything.
Secondly, how does an ad condemning a behavior any sane person can see is demented put anyone at any greater risk? Maybe if they're so worried about risk, they should go back to the drag bars or stay home. Certainly it would behoove them to stay out of peoples' faces.
Thirdly, I suspect that trolling little girls in the ladies' toilet is more likely to expose them to getting punched out than simply swishing along in a dress, looking like a grotesque gargoyle and an object of ridicule, but not of violence.
In other words, if -- and it's a BIG if -- there is any greater incidence of violence against these freaks, it's most likely because they insist on shoving their perversion in everyone's faces, not because Ted Cruz made a campaign ad. This is a mess of their own making.
What exactly is a transgender woman? Would it be a woman who thinks they are a man or a man who thinks they are a woman? Hard to tell
What Hill is referring to here.
Cruzs perfect family - Ted snorted cocaine, and talks about it.

Transphobic was a new one on me, too. It means that Cruzis against allowing men to use the ladies restrooms populated by 15 year old girls in order to pander to .0001% of the population. It is a winning issue.
Did she screech and sound like an ex-wife a lot?
You need to get go a professional as soon as you can.
It’s pretty sad when we need a code to decipher all of this double-speak.
A transgender woman is a man.
A transgender man is a woman.
Or is a transgender woman a man who thinks he is a woman and a transgender man a woman who thinks she is a man?
Do you go by whatever is the last spoken noun? Transgender man is a man who is really a woman? Transgender woman is a woman who is really a man?
Dysphoria my butt. It’s a mental DISORDER!!!!
Me?? Why??
