Now, I thought the doctors were saying she was already *in* a coma and that was why they thought they had the right to murder her in the first place..No, the some of the doctors testified and the courts ruled she's in a "persistent vegetative state." The Schindlers dispute this.

That was my point (not knowing the distinction between PVS and a coma)- they said she already was and now they are saying she will slip into - thus she wasn't in the first place and this whole action is based on the lie that she is.
IOW she can't "slip into a coma" if she is already in a coma- and if she isn't (and I beleive the Schindlers that she isn't) then why the hell are they doing this to her.

No, the some of the doctors testified and the courts ruled she's in a "persistent vegetative state." The Schindlers dispute this. Some did; some didn't. From what I understand, none of the ones that did followed the necessary protocols required to make such a determination.
