[history]
For the longest time, as right-wing pundits mercilessly mocked lefties and Ann Coulter demonized liberals as "traitors," it seemed that a cowed left had lost its voice and its spirit. Michael Moore ranted, Gore Vidal issued a pair of scathing anti-Bush pamphlets, but it wasn't until Al Franken came along that the left regained some of the breath that got knocked out of it by the Florida election of 2000.

If the Dems are hanging their hat on this guy, they won't see an election go their way for a long, long time.

Franken may be the darling of the left, but his audience will never grow beyond those that already agree with him. This is no so with Ann Coulter and others that have come out swinging at the socialist. Ms. Coulter, for example, has swayed many people onto the right path. The big difference is conservatives tell the truth. That is all they have to do. Socialist lie because that is what they have to do. The constant drum beat that says "Bush lied" is itself a big lie and everyone, including Franken's ready-made audience, knows it. The socialist and their media can give the guy all the press they've got, but it won't make a twit of difference. The truth always wins which is why the xocialist will always lose. You would think that all of their superior intelligencia would figure that out by now.
