The news media is referring to this as "a brazen and well planned attack", giving it much more substance than I think it deserves. What they did was tow an old Chinese multi-bank rocket launcher behind a civilian truck into range of the hotel, set it up to fire on delay and then drove away. Half the rockets didn't fire and the other half hit randomly on the face of a very large building. What the hell is so feindishly diabolical and smart about that? The press seems to be trying to give more power to the terrorists than they deserve. Why? Do they think that if they can convince us that we are up against such superior thinking and planning we cannot win and should, then, just give up and leave? I smell a lefty rat in the press room.

Well, "brazen and well planned" does not mean "successful" so I don't take offense at that categorization. If this was called a successful attack I would be livid.

Considering the report that the unhitched trailer holding the rockets sat undisturbed on the road for 15 minutes prior to launching is quite alarming considering the hotel held a DEPSECDEF and numerous other American civies and officials.
I hate the leftist media more than most, but this rocket attack on al Rashid is undeniably a black eye for us.
