"Please take three minutes RIGHT NOW and help me fight the radicals in Hollywood who are preparing a vicious smear on former President Ronald Reagan, his wife Nancy, and all conservatives across America.  A site called BoycottCBS.com is spearheading a campaign with two simple requests: that we do not watch the dishonest CBS Smear, and that we boycott the show's advertisers for 30 days following the show.  That's it!

We can cost CBS tens of millions of dollars--the only message they understand--by joining this grass-roots campaign.  Please visit the site at http://www.boycottCBS.com, or just email Reagan@boycottCBS.com and they will send you the list of advertisers who support this trash, along with their contact information.  (What you do with that contact information is then up to you!)

Thanks, and please forward my email to all your family and friends who love this great country.  Let's show the Hollywood Wackos that this time, they've gone too far."

I sent a few emails to my local CBS station, and here's what I got. (LIBERAL BARF ALERT)

"Thank you for your message regarding the upcoming CBS miniseries "The Reagans". Like all CBS affiliates, KIRO-TV plans to air the miniseries in November.

In most reviews of the series, it is also pointed out that the program credits President Reagan as a very good politician, as the leader who brought an end to Communism in Eastern Europe and as a man who stuck to his moral convictions - at times against the advice of his advisors."

What did I expect? It's Seattle.
I'm just glad I have a dish and Foxnews Channel.

I got a call today from a Saturn dealer about a VUE that I WAS going to buy. I told the salesman I'll watch the CBS show and if Saturn is a sponsor - I'll buy something else and I'll send him, Saturn, et.al., copies of the window sticker, the VUE brochure, his card, etc. to demonstrate I was interested in the SUV until they sponsored a trashing of Reagan.
If I don't see a Saturn ad, I'll be in the next day with the check. Hit the advertisers in their pocketbooks.

I had such a lovely evening. I actually turned on CBS, waited for the advertisements, and sent e-mails to those companies telling them they lost a customer because they advertise on CBS, the channel which is planning to air a program which will try to destroy President Reagan.

I caught three so far: Electrasol, Neutrogena and Ocean Spray.

Has http://www.boycottCBS.com site been pulled by the ISP?

Is there another site dedicated to this effort? If not, I sure would like to see one started. Anyone know what is going on? I don't believe it is just busy. I've tried at all hours to get in.

I don't plan to watch. If they go ahead and have this series, maybe we could get a designated Freeper with a strong stomach to write down all the sponsers.

Maybe you should send your information about your intended purchase to the Saturn management to make sure they don't advertise.

It's going to be interesting to see which companies will actually sponser this hatchet job. Since, it's a mini-series, they will need to line up a lot of sponsers.

The site is up and running again. They streamlined it and removed images.

All of the flack CBS has gotten about this hatchet job on President Reagan is going to permit them to avoid a public relations disaster. Too bad.

I'm able to get in fine on the East coast now.

Maybe just send to the email address above. That's probably all you need to do anyway.

Already sent a letter to Saturn but I assume they will just discount the 'threat' and the purchase of an alternate will really hit home with them.
My only problem is the 2nd choice is a BMW. At a rather large price differential. Sometimes, 'principle' can hurt.
I am serious! I liked several others but I'm 6-6 and in the vehiclea I considered, my head hits the roof or knees hit the dash. I really liked the Mitsubishi (something) and the Infiniti FX45 but don't fit. (I actually fit in the Mitsu w/o a sunroof but to get 2 or 3 of the options I want they force the sunroof on one.)
A GMC/Chevy diesel Suburban with 4 wheel steering was on my list, too, but GM only offers the diesel in a detuned version from the pickup and doesn't put the Allison transmission in it. Besides something that fits in a lot more parking situations would be handy which is why a Mini Cooper S is also under consideration. How's that for strange tastes? Suburban vs. Mini.
I'll probably tape the show and hope a Freeper posts the actual advertiser list so I can gleefully erase the tape.

vehiclea = vehicles

How can I preview half-a-dozen times, altering, adding, and otherwise editing a post then AFTER it's too late notice I can't type? This batch of coffee must be low on caffeine.
