I usually post these memorials on Military Mondays but this thread also seems appropriate.
In memory of my fellow Vietnam helicopter pilots who were killed in that war the following were lost on OCT 28. God bless them all.
1969 CPT Thomas E. Campbell -- 192 AHC, Age 24, Single, Lawton, Oklahoma
1969 CW3 Ferman B. Hodges -- 15 MED BN 1 CAV, Age 37, Married, Gardendale, Alabama
1969 1LT Mark Jackson -- D/3/4 CAV 25 INF, Age 21, Single, Vero Beach, Florida
1969 WO1 Ralph D. Tadevic -- C/227 AHB 1 CAV, Age 22, Single, Chicago, Illinois
1969 WO1 John P. Wright -- 192 AHC, Age 19, Single, Aurora, Colorado
Memoriam to 1LT Jackson from one of the soldiers in the same troop.
I was in the aero-rifle platoon-Mr. Jackson was one of our pilots. Rest in peace. You are not forgotten.
Jim Brothers -- D/3/4 CAV
OH-6-Type flown by 1LT Jackson.
1LT Jackson's 3rd Squadron 4th Cavalry insignia

Thank you for the pretty thread today. I wish I could remember the year, but I'm guessing it was 1984 or 1985 (probably 84), I saw Lee Greenwood at the mall in Washington for a 4th of July celebration. I remember it rained a little that night and the subway was packed. Seeing fireworks at the Washington Monument was a wonderful experience.
