ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST -- A man was arrested Tuesday after deputies caught him setting a fire in a steep, remote canyon filled with dry brush and large trees in the Angeles National Forest, according to sheriff detectives.
Hikers in a remote trail about a half-mile north of the Eaton Canyon Bridge in Altadena saw a man making a fire there and alerted authorities, sheriff's Detective Ed Nordskog said.
Los Angeles County Parks officials and deputies arrived about 10 a.m. as the man was standing next to a fire about four feet in diameter. He warned the deputies to stay away and not extinguish the blaze, Nordskog said.
The man, identified as Dikran Armouchian, 23, of Pasadena,

-ian surnames are almost always Armenian. I assume them to be so. Many Armenians are Christian like you say. There's also differences in "cultural" Christians and "committed" ones. And there are mentally unstable people of all stripes. I think it's probably too early to tell here.

Iranians also have surnames ending with "ian".

It may be another case for opening new centers for evaluating mental disorders. Now that we know thousands of mental cases are being warehoused in prisons, we may need to rethink the chaos being caused by 100% freedoms for the proven mentally deranged. 3 hots and a cot along with supervised meds distribution may save the person and citizen victims of their psychopathic behavior. The legislators had better take a look at this mental illness
issue. Andrea Yates, homeless filling city parks, people pushing a grocery cart with all manner of filthy garbage down a sidwalk? It is long past the time this society figures out a humane way to deal with the mentally ill.
Releasing them all to the streets because they all have civil rights is not working. They must start to consider
the innocent victims and the safety of the sick.

I didn't know that. Thanks.

US SEARCH

All of these names originate in Armenia.
searching on "RAFFIE HOSEP" I came across this page:

I go to Eaton Canyon about a half dozen times a year. It is less than 2 miles north of my work. This one has got me very steamed. If Eaton Canyon went out of control, it is right above a very heavily populated area. Altadena, San Gabriel, Pasadena could have been in serious danger.
What a freaking waste of human space this guy is.

Dikran Armouchian, of Pasadena, or Glendale? L.A. Times story says he's of Glendale:
23-Year-Old Glendale Man Held on Suspicion of Arson.
google.com turns up no instances of anybody with the name "Armouchian" (news.google.com has the stories about this guy from this morning.) switchboard.com finds nobody named "Armouchian" in the whole state of California.

It was 1915.The Turks deny it.One and a half million dead through murder and death through forced relocation..a death march. This is not the massacre I was thinking of. I did not know that history. What I was thinking of was a war between the Christians of Armenia and the muslims of Azerbajan, or should I say the slaughtering of Armenian Christians by Azerbajani muslims after the fall of the Soviet Union, and nobody going to the aid of those Christians.

Not possible. Long lost sister, maybe? :-)

What a freaking waste of human space this guy is. Hopefully he'll be wasting space in a jail or mental institute for a very long time.

I found 4 Armouchians in Pasadena using (as far as one could go for free) something called USA search that is linked off the Yahoo people search site.
To: aristeides
Pasedena and Glendale are right next to each other. Armouchian is probably a fabricated name. US SEARCH is the most accurate people finder on the web. Try your name and see what it says just for kicks. I've got suspicion that this guy and those results from the US SEARCH are either the same person or a ring of fabricated names to hide their identities.

Does AQ pay you on a per post or per diem basis?
Hmm, if one were an AQ supporter wouldn't they be proudly talking about how AQ is starting every wildfire, train derailment, and industrial fire in the US, not doing the opposite? How would it serve AQ to have people running around trying to cover up their terror campaign so people think whatever they do is an accident or a lone nut? Then it's not a "terror" campaign at all. (Though, paradoxically, I've long stated that people somehow find destruction caused by stupid accidents or lone nuts less "meaningful" and "purposeful" and therefore more terrifying than the same destruction caused by a giant evil conspiracy.)
Remember, if you're one of the legion of FR peabrains who believe every twig breaking and tire blowing out in the US is the result of AQ, you're 100% likely to believe AQ was responsible for the Anthrax attacks and included a nice threatening note.
But, logical consistency has never been a hallmark of that FR group....

And your evidence for your "suspicion" beyond the fact you don't like the ethnicity and associated relgion of the name is what, exactly?
