I have wondered why the media is lavishing so much attention on Lynch. Especially, in light of the other POWs being rescued. I don't want to take away from her ordeal, but I have wondered if the media like the woman-as-victim aspect of her story. If this had not been real life, it could have been one of those Lifetime victim-of-the-week movies, starring Tori Spelling.

Not because of her experience in Iraq, but with her upcoming experience with the media. She still probably doesn't understand what they are in the process of doing to her.

You are so right! This young lady did not seek fame! Whether or not she had pictures taken topless is of no consequence--but what Hustler is doing is dispicable! Who buys that trash? Who advertises in it. A pox on the whole bunch of them!!

I find it hard to believe nude pics of Pvt. Lynch were taken while she was on base. My daughters are both in the Navy, and according to them (I realize it might be different in the Army, although my son thinks the Navy is Club Med compared to the Army...he was trained in Air Assault) it would take far less than posing for nude pics to get kicked out of the Navy. I also cannot believe that nude pics of someone as good looking as Jessica Lynch could have been kept a secret, on an Army base, without her and whoever took the pictures getting severely reprimanded if not kicked out.

If the part about "wild times" in the barracks is true, and there are pictures of her touching herself topless, well, the part of her that went to Iraq doesn't deserve to have them printed. Unfortunately, the part of her that thought it was a great idea, does. I'd have a lot more sympathy if they were private photos taken by her boyfriend. If not, then whatever sympathy I have pretty much shoots out the window.

The first story I saw about Lynch was when she first went MIA and it was in some lefty pub. Right then I could see it coming. No matter what happened to her I knew they were going to make her a story.
