ATTENTION, PRAYER WARRIORS!

From Shandon Belle (Ryan's Nana):

"Prayers needed for Ryan

On Sept. 28,04 post 1043, I wrote to advise all of the wonderful progress Ryan has made and the great things prayers can do.

Things have changed and now he is in need of prayers.
He'll be having tests on Wed. Nov.4 to see if he may be having focal seizures. He has been having trouble with his memory, and a lot of tripping and falling.
His back is starting to curve because of the way he's carrying himself. He tires very easily and will have to cut back to just a half day of kindergarten as a full day is way too much on him.

Thank you all in advance for your prayers and may God Bless each and every one of you!

Shandonbelle (Ryan's Nana)"

Dear Gracious Heavenly Father, we come to you again in this Room of Miracles to ask you to perform another.
Please reach down your loving hand and heal little Ryan.
Give him your strength, Dear Lord, and comfort the family of this precious little boy.

In Jesus' loving name we pray,
Amen.

Most Heavenly Father, we come before you to once again to ask for Your healing graces to be bestowed upon Your child, Ryan. Give him strength and healing. Guide the medical team to enable them to help little Ryan.

In Jesus' Name we pray....

I'm praying for Ryan and will continue (Look what our prayers did in the election!)

I'm also asking for the group's efforts on behalf of my Moma as she has surgery tomorrow.

Moma, who is only 67 and never smoked or drank and whose parents lived to within weeks of 90 years old, has an incredibly rare tumor which looks like it came from the thymus. The tumor causes her body to make antibodies against itself which also work to make her very weak because the nerve impulses don't get to the muscles. This is probably related to the same problem that caused her to have vitiligo in the 1970's and a goiter in the 1980's.

The tumor is small cell squamous cell carcinoma, as are 30% of the thymic carcinomas - but there are only a few hundred thymic tumors in the US each year, so no one's sure what to expect. All the indications are that it *did* come from the thymus and it is very localized, has not metastasized to or invaded any other sites and so the doctor should be able to completely remove it. She's had a couple of CAT scans, a PET scan, and an MRI of her head. We can be as sure as anyone could be that we would know if the tumor had spread, thank God. The fact that we found the tumor while it seems to be localized is already a miracle. Most have obviously metastacised and invaded the lung and central vessels when they are found.
The surgery will be like an open heart surgery, with the breastbone cut, in order to view the middle chest structures completely and ensure that all of the thymus and any tissue the tumor is attached to or invading is removed. She'll be in the ICU for a while afterwards and in the hospital at least a week, possibly longer. She will probably have to have radiation therapy after the surgery unless the tumor is "encapsulated" because of the risk of cells being left behind. I'm praying that there won't be any such need.

Please ping the list for me and pray that God will give Moma strength and wrap this tumor up in the part the surgeon removes so that it can't cause her anymore trouble.

Thank you all for being here for me! The miracles and love build me up.

Heavenly Father, we return with grateful hearts that Ryan has had a period of normal activity ... may it be so again, O God. Give wisdom to those seeking a cause for his episodes, and may it be that he is touched by Your healing hand, through surgery or medicine, that he is restored to health. Look with favor upon this little child, Merciful Father ... give him and his family courage beyond his years and faith beyond measure. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

O Father my King, my Loving Master, I lift up to Thee this sweet little boy, Ryan, beseeching Thee that Your Hand of Healing would touch him in a Mighty way, Strengthening him with the Power of the Most High God, to Whom children are very, very precious. Fill his physicians with Thine Own Wisdom and Discernment, that nothing will remain undone that should be done in the quest for his healing. Hold little Ryan and his family close to Your Loving Heart, Sweet Master, showering them with Your Peace, Comfort, and Grace. We Worship Thee, our Blessed Savior, and committ him into the Hand of the God Who Loves Him, and look for Great Things to be done on his behalf. Accept our Praise, O God our Great King, as we pray in the Name of our Dear Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

Just want to let everyone know how much all your thoughts and prayers meant to me. Thank you all so very much.

Ryan had his tests. One of the tests was an eeg. My daughter didn't want him sedated so in order to do the test she had to have him sleep deprived. He went in for a nap at 2:30 pm and got up at 5:30. She then had to keep him up til 2:00 am. They went for a walk at midnight so the air could help him stay awake. Since his favorite thing in the world is to paint, when they came home he was tired. She said "but Ry, I bought you a surprise ... a new paint set and he did that til 2:00 am. He was completely exhausted. She then had to get him up at 5:00 am for the hour's ride to the hospital. Half way there, she could see he was starting to close his eyes. She said "Ry", you can't go to sleep we have to make plans for your Birthday party (in a few weeks). He immediately started telling her who he wanted to invite, and all the stuff about ice cream and cake, etc. They arrived at the hospital with Ryan awake. (whew)!

The nurses got Ryan prepared for the tests and he asked if the electrodes were going to hurt his head. The nurse said you put one on and take it off, it won't hurt. He did so, and he said "nope, didn't hurt, go ahead. Mommy gave him a blanket and told him he could get as snug as a bug in a rug. He laid down on the table at 8:15 am and was asleep by 8:20am. The nurse said he was so good she'd like to take him home.

We won't know the results til next week when the Doctor returns from vacation. But I will post to let you all know what the results are.

God has blessed us with Ryan, and brought him through heart surgery and a stroke. I'm praying medicine can help him now. And accept that it truly is in God's hands.

Thank you, Freepers, for always being there.
