Good thinkin' on the part of the Dems. Find the least charismatic, smarmiest, hate filled hack and use him as the face of your party.
Good luck in 2004, fellas!

When my wife who is a recovering Massachusetts Democrat saw the ad, she said that having Freddie Kruger scream from the television is only going to help Bush. God willing, this time she's correct.

"Good thinkin' on the part of the Dems. Find the least charismatic, smarmiest, hate filled hack [Carville] and use him as the face of your party."
You forget that the pro-Democratic media characterize Carville as "colorful," not smarmy and nasty, and will give him a pass on all his excesses. If he were a Republican, the media would already have demonized him to the point of ineffectiveness - the way they demonized Newt Gingrich - and he'd be long gone.
