Every time I see that ol' boy, I am reminded of my uncle. He lived smack in the middle of a big tract of wooded rural land in Long Beach, Mississippi. Back around 1968 or so, the local paper (Sea Coast Echo) did an article about him upon his retirement from the L&N Railroad. The columnist described him as a "rugged individualist", which he assuredly was. He favored overalls and "brair britches" over camoflage, though I have a hunch that "Longarm" would probably look comfortable in denim overalls, too. Add a big pouch of "Red Man" chewing tobacco in the chest pocket and the picture is complete.
God help the poor souls who are asked to go and disarm such men.
Oh that is so true! The 'rats have NO CLUE!
