Isn't he one of the many dems complaining about the Federal government's deficit spending? If so, this makes him a hypocrite: He is willing to re-mortgage his Beacon Hill home to spend beyond his means.

"Personal property" ... not "real property." Some jurisdictions tax personal assets such as tractors, snowmobiles (over and above registration fees) and other personal property ... even if the person does not own a house.
