IMO 10mm is the way to go, and the G29 is a great combo of wonderful 10mm ballistics and size.

The only complaint that I have ever heard leveled against the model 21 is regarding the size of the pistol’s grip.

Well that and its the size of a mini cannon that unless you're decked out like the Michellin Man you can't conceal carry it :)

Have you ever wondered what a 100mm pistol would look like? (Like a broken wrist maybe?)

I bet the ammo is a lot more expensive than .45 ACP.

I would have my fingers surgically lengthened before I would admit that I couldn't grip a .45.
Women five feet tall have no trouble grasping a 1911 or even a Para-Ordnance.

Get a Colt Model 1911 in .45 ACP and quit fooling around.

Oh, swell. Another proprietary cartridge that nobody wants. Better buy a box of that stuff and put it away till it becomes a collector's item. If you want a hot but compact round, check out the .357 SIG.

They would have done better by enlarging the 36, and keeping the single column magazine. As it stands, the 36 is NOT fun to shoot.

Y'all probably don't want a Sissy like me butting in but I have a question.

This week I went to the town hall meeting in Goose Creek, SC sponsored by the NAACP for the Stratford HS police drug raid. Jesse Jackson sat across the aisle from me.

Several students and their parents spoke about their experiences. Half way into the meeting, Jesse sends word to the moderator and it's announced that our cops were using Glocks. According to Jesse, Glocks don't have safeties. If one of the sweaty fingers of Goose Creek's finest had slipped, some kids brains would have been splattered all over the lockers.

So, how 'bout it guys. I don't accept Jesse Jackson's words as gospel. What's the safety story? Surprisingly, this angle has not been mentioned in the local news if it's true.

I got a Model 21 right after I borrowed one to shoot an IPSC match many years ago. I put a Heinie night sight on it and had a custom holster made by SAM ANDREWS CUSTOM LEATHER.com (check that place out--one word no spaces dot com) Sam is an old friend of mine. I found the M21 to be too bulky to easily conceal even with my ever present photographer's vest....and I'm a pretty big (bulky?) guy. So when the Glock Model 30 came out I snapped it up, and it accepted the five Hi-Cap M21 mags I'd kept when I sold the M21. Now, those were a hundred bucks apiece! Whoa.

I found the M30 fit in my custom holster, but the barrel didn't quite go all the way to the bottom, so I got a Blade Tech IWB and it's so comfortable I can easily falll asleep in my big old "DAD'S CHAIR "Lazy Boy" while watching TV!

But the grip on the M30 was just as fat as the M21. The answer for me, was to send the gun out to ROBAR in Arizona where they filled in the famous "Glock GAP" in the backstrap and shaved it down then applying their own pebbled finish. Worked perfectly.

Now, I'm selling the Glock 30 to my nephew (all my guns go to him in my WILL anyway) so I can buy a smaller 45 for concealed carry here in Miami, FL. I find that either my ParaOrdnance P10 OR the Glock M30 is just too bulky to be comfortable unless I use the photographer's vest and sometimes that's not appropriate also, that garment is plain wearing out. So I'm going to a ParaOrdnance single stack C6. The ParaCarry. If I really like it, I may go to an upsized TAC-4.

By the way, can somebody do me two favors? Tell me again how to make a link "active" (what do I type) and will somebody make the Sam Andrews link active on this thread? Thanks. I had written instructions from a freeper before but my wife tossed them in a cleanup. I'm html challenged.

Need a smaller sized 45 Auto, get a 1911. Why buy a gun that uses a proprietary ammunition?

Just back from the gun show and I handled one of these. To tell the truth I can barely discern a difference from the Glock M21.

I did however handle a ParaOrdnance TAC-4 and decided that I HAVE to have one, plus the C6 for everyday carry. The TAC-4 is just a fist full of dynamite that seems to have a grip "feel" much more sure than either the Glock M21 or my Glock M30. I can't explain it, but it fit me like Excalibur fit King Arthur.
