"Fine, your opinion."

Actually it's historical fact.

If you can say "the French s*ck," can a Frenchman say that Israel is a "s***ty little country"? Why is one a good statement and the other a bad statement?

Because the French DO s*ck. And because I wasn't so careless as to get my post pulled for profanity.

When we bash the French we bash the Vichy French and their progeny. Conservative French freedom lovers are our buds.:-}

The French I speak and work with are great people. The other comments I see seem small-minded.

I'll second that, I've worked with French folks and they're quite OK, just like all people everywhere normally are.

OTOH, I also know a Frenchman who lives in the U.S. and hates all things American, but then again he's nondiscriminatory and hates everything else too.

If you don't like the fact that we on FR don't like or respect France, perhaps you are on the wrong web site. We will never forget how France undermined us and worked against us in order to protect their contracts with Saddam. They were the worst of all when it came to being a traitor to America. DU loves France..maybe you should consider joining them.

The war in Iraq is a bad idea, Freedom, in my opinion and in the opinion of many American conservatives. France wasn't the only major player to oppose it -- Germany, Russia, China, India, Japan -- they all went against us. Are they bad enemies, too?

The enemies are the neocons who've taken over the foreign policy of the conservative wing of the executive branch and twist it to Israel's interests. There's nothing conservative about neoconservatism. President Bush is figuring this out, which is why Wolfowitz won't be part of what I hope will be a second Bush term. And Richard Perle's gonna be gone soon as well.

Well, that's your opinion. But if you defend the right of someone to say "the French suck," if that's their opinion, then you also must defend the right of someone to say that Israel sucks or is a "s****y little country". Right?

My point is that terrorist attacks seem to be the only way to wake people up to this GLOBAL problem. Are the French immune to terrorism?

I do not wish anybody dead...not French civilians, and most definitely not American civilians.

The FR "attacks on France" come from their own actions - the denial that a threat exists, and the unwillingness to deal with a threat when it shows itself.

France - Let's just hide out and see what happens.

Opposing Operation Iraqi Freedom isn't a bad thing...

That's not what the french did.... they "opposed" the liberation of Iraq about like the Ba'ath party did. They were just too scared to use guns.

OK, you hate the Jews we get it.

When we needed France they were not there, and we can expect they won't be in the future. They are not friends.

Why do you keep trying to bolster your arguement by saying American conservatives were against the Iraq war? Yes, there were some, but the vast majority were pro-war. And I highly doubt that you are hoping for a second term for President Bush. You are a troll.

Opposing Operation Iraqi Freedom isn't a bad thing, JB. A lot of good Americans opposed it, too, including conservatives.

When one takes unethical and deceitful steps to oppose an issue, it is not honorable.

Having said that, the French bashing that grinds your grits so is fairly minimal on this thread and we are discussing the flight cancellations and what the concrete reasons were, so please cease.

Fine, your opinion. But now, can I write "Screw Israel and the Israeli people,"

Now we get to your real concern. I guess you are annoyed we can't all get along and hate the Jews, right? We have to ruin it by hating the French euroweenies instead!
