Somehow I doubt that the intell involved and the requests made originated with the French... I agree. There is apparently enough information to assess either their time on target, or the targets themselves. With enough little clues, we can narrow it down quite a bit.
I just hope that they got the right flights. AQ knows we're onto them, so it would be easy for them to create a diversion to lead our blockers away from the guy with the football.

Air Tahiti was the third flight cancelled, per Fox News. It was due to leave Paris and land in LAX before resuming flight on to Tahiti. The U.S. Embassy was involved.
The other two flights were Air France bound for LAX.
