Everybody is against them but everybody enjoys their labor.

I wonder what this looks like from God's perspective? OK ... so from an extra-terrestrial neutral perspective?

I just don't think people are rational on this issue.

"Everybody is against them but everybody enjoys their labor."
Gross generalizations there. Many of us do not enjoy their illegal labor and wish that we would inforce sane immigration policy as well as inacting sane economic policy.

Being against illegal immigration and attempts to reward/normalize it does not equate with being against immigration or any particular ethnic or cultural group.

We need people to come here and be a part of America...and be willing to work, assimilate into the American culture, understand and defend freedom, etc., etc. But it has to happen legally and in a fashion that compliments those very things.

We do not accomplish that with violating the law and then calling it good.

I saw a poll of Mexican citizens the other day. Over half of them believe that the American southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico. Mexican immigrants (legal and illegal) are already electing politicians who are deliberately lax about enforcing immigration laws.

What will you do when the day comes when they decide to take "take their country back"? Why should we allow people into this country who we know want to take it from us. Is that rational?

Are you aware of the financial cost to every US citizen from these illegal aliens? "enjoys" needs to be replaced with "pays for".

"I just don't think people are rational on this issue."

You prefer to allow these criminals to pay a small monetary fine and remain in the US?

What does this say to other foreigners who wish to emigrate to the US in a legal manner, obeying all of our immigration laws.

Yes, pity and sympathy are due to 'some' of these people but certain not all of them. Have you checked the jails and prisons for the alien percentages lately? Yes, this is an added cost also.

"Rational" doesn't seem to be the appropriate term. I think Americans who are disgusted with our politicians and law enforcement agencies for not fully enforcing the immigration laws are being pushed to become racists their own government.
