Today's Military: Right, Republican And Principled

It is something I can live with.

Even though they vote and trend Republican, they know what has to come first.

I've heard of places where disrespect of the leadership went a lot further than Monica jokes and a few cheap shots (like the one that got General Campbell canned).

It's not so much that the all-volunteer military identifies with Republicans--it's that the post-1968 Democrats have never missed an opportunity to express their hatred and disdain of the military.

Some of the comments on DU and other websites border on sedition--or treason--with their hopes for a long list of casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan. We knew about similar thoughts being expressed in 1990, during the buildup to Desert Storm.

The folks in the military know about this. They know that many Democrat activists are wishing death on them.

And then everyone's surprised when the military doesn't like Democrats.

The modern Democratic Party is a bunch of copperheads.

Unfortunatly, we always end up being lead by the likes of: Weaselly Clarke, GEN Claudia "Hillary's Favorite General", Colin Powell...

The upper echelons of the Army, in particular, don't seem to espouse those values.

I think it is pretty safe to say that the folks who are complaining the military doesn't like them need to look in the mirror to find out why.
