The Columbia Political Review (hardly a conservative outlet) said in October of 2002 that Coleman was ahead 4-6 poiints, and that Wellstone, who had NEVER gotten more than 50% of the vote in any election, was pretty certain to be defeated.

Huh? Has this fine fellow seen the attendees at the "memorial" rally? I've never seen Hillary look so imbued with joy. She is positively incandescent.

(Not saying anybody was behind what was clearly an accident. Merely commenting on who took glee in the demise of the Senator.)

Thanks ... I thought I remembered that right. Kinda takes the wind out of the old conspiracy theorists when they are reminded with the facts that Wellstone was loosing in the polls.
