The Columbia Political Review (hardly a conservative outlet) said in October of 2002 that Coleman was ahead 4-6 poiints, and that Wellstone, who had NEVER gotten more than 50% of the vote in any election, was pretty certain to be defeated.

Such conservatives' glee at the demise of probably the most powerful real progressive in the country Huh? Has this fine fellow seen the attendees at the "memorial" rally? I've never seen Hillary look so imbued with joy. She is positively incandescent.

Thanks ... I thought I remembered that right. Kinda takes the wind out of the old conspiracy theorists when they are reminded with the facts that Wellstone was loosing in the polls.
