The Iraq Study Groups report is out: Iraq Study Group: United States Institute of Peace. As expected, its all about defeat and retreat.
It advocates dialog with our worst enemies, including the madman who, with exquisite timing, just told the West to convert or die. link: 277 comments "They were smoking crack while they wrote this. But I'll bet the MSM will eat it up, as will all the Congressional Democrats, eager for a Viet Nam style defeat. Dark days ahead. And the West watches the Billboard Music Awards, fiddling and rapping while the modern equivalent of Rome (or maybe the real Rome, soon) burns."
Here's a response from Joel Himelfarb at OpinionJournal.
I am a tad confused too. I voted Republican and I got a RINO president.

This has gotten to the point of being so stupid, I am almost tired of talking about it. I am now convinced that it will take another 9/11 for most of America to wake up to the fact you don't negotiate or make friends in war.
Can you imagine if we had tried to fight the Japanese and their Shinto religion in 1944 with dialogue, fossilized committees and half-assed measures?
It looks like it has taken about 60 years for America to totally lose its leadership. And the saddest part is when this is all said and done and much blood has been shed, most of America still won't recognize how futile it is totry to negotiate with Muslims.
