PRINCE Charles is the person Princess Diana claimed in a letter wanted to kill her, the Mirror sensationally reveals today.
Before she died in a car crash, Diana wrote: "My husband is planning 'an accident' in my car, brake failure and serious head injury...to make the path clear for him to marry."
She gave the note to butler Paul Burrell who revealed its existence in the Mirror last year. Charles's name was blanked out. Burrell has been asked to hand the document to the coroner who today opens the inquest into Diana's death.
Burrell said: "It has fulfilled its purpose. I wanted to give force to the argument that an inquest must be held."

I have no doubt Charles wanted her dead. I have doubt he planned the deed,,he isn't very smart.

....The plot thickens...
Smoke and obfuscation to save the failed Dianah. She never made the grade and was rejected.

Why would Charles want the mother of his children dead?
To: plain talk
Well she was giving the monarchy a very black eye. She was flirting with marrying a middle easterner. And she was an embarassment to them what with her upstaging Charles and making him look the wimp. And her involvement with the anti land mind deal was starting to look like she was going to go all political. Plus I think he just hated her.

Doesn't matter anyway. Damaging brakelines only kills people on TV. In the real world there are enough other ways to stop a car and enough acceleration dampening traffic and traffic lights that damaged brakelines will likely cause nothing more than a fenderbender. If Prince Charles really did try to have Diana killed this way he's the luckiest SOB on the planet because everything (traffic, traffic lights, the driver forgeting about the parking brake, the driver accelerating insanely, the driver losing control of the vehicle in a tiny underpass with lots of bad things to run into, and Diana never bothering to put her seatbelt on) broke his way; but there's simply no way someone could be that lucky and yet so horribly unlucky as to fall in love with Camilla. That level of hubris only exists in the most poorly written passion plays.
While it's possible to accept that Charles wanted Diana dead, and even possible to accept that he thought brake sabatoge was a good way to do it, it's very difficult to accept people in the professional killing business never bothered to explain to him that France is not Magnum PI and even more difficult to believe everything worked out to temporarily transform France into Magnum PI. While there very well might have been an assassin on the lose gunning for Diana that's not how she died.

She was flirting with marrying a middle easterner Charles was flirting with Islam, too. He's a very weird bird, and for Britain's sake, I hope he never becomes king. I think his mother, the Queen, thinks the same thing, and is hoping to hang on long enough so that Charles' reign would be very short, if there is one at all.
As for the accident, it certainly was a coincidence that Diana said she would die in a car crash, and then did. It should be investigated, and it should be investigated with an eye on the fact that trained people can make things appear different than they really were. Facts that are taken for granted--the drunkenness of the driver, the seat belt, those could be taken care of by professionals.
Do I think Charles did this? Very unlikely, but needs to be investigated to bring closure to all but the kooks. Do I think he would have entertained the notion of having her killed? I think he would have thought about it, and possibly acted on it, but got lucky and fate took care of her on its own.

Ah, but you see, for the kooks the lack of proof is proof of how good the cover-up/conspiracy is.
You can never satisfy the kooks.

And she was an embarassment to them what with her upstaging Charles and making him look the wimp. She didn't have to work very hard at that.

I agree with you.
I am sure the letter is perfectly authentic. She loved that butler and by being Diana's confidante, he got stuck in the middle of all this. He had always been very, very loyal to the Queen, he worked for her for over a decade, and her weird son, for whom he was butler or something also for some time. So she wrote that she heard Charles wanted her dead . I am sure it was true. Did he plan the crash she was in? Doubtful. But it is worth an inquiry.

Two very good friends of mine were visiting the Shrine at Lourdes, France a couple of days after the accident.
They struck up a conversation with a nurse who told them that she had been on duty in the emergency room when Diana was brought in.
Right after Diana died, all the emergency staff were ordered to take a leave of absence. The nurse volunteered her services at the shrine until she could return to her regular duties at the hospital.
