This should be in the Breaking News sidebar.

I thought so too and hinted to the Admin Moderator the same ...

The more that endorse Dean, the better - how better to alienate all but the most die-hard commie wackos from the Dim party?

Because Harkin only matters in Iowa. If Harkin was important in SC, or NH, I doubt he would have endorsed Dean.

The majority of Dems are behind angry Dean. Pragmatists Demoncrats know that he has no snow ball chance in hell. That is the biggest confusion for the poor bastards.

That's what I gathered, having spent New Year's week in Iowa visiting family: Iowa Pragmatism extends into Democratic politics. It feels like 1972 and McGovern all over again.

Harkin? I thought he died a few years ago.

Even if he's dead, Harkin can still endorse Dean. Why should dead democraps still be able to vote, yet not be able to endorse?

Iowa is strange....any state that elects Harkin AND Grassley, and keeps re-electing them..is politically psychotic...that's the oddest pair of senators I can recall..

Because if Dean gets the nomination, he will NOT win in 04. That way the coast is clear for Hillary in 08.

How about Rod Grams and Paul Wellstone, back when they were both senators in Minnesota?

Once Dean wins Iowa and New Hampshire, his support in every state will go up at least 10 points-- meaning that being neck and neck with Dean isn't good enough in those February and March states. Clark has to be up 10 points in these states just to be tied with Dean after he gets these big wins in January.

Wasn't John F'n Kerry supposed to get some big endorsement today. I had assumed that it would be Harkin.

Has Kerry gotten any big endorsements??
