She won't get a voice? So much for protecting Terri Schiavo's right to due process.

Sometimes I think that most of our judges are found under rocks.

Un-freaken-believable! "... severely brain-damaged woman at the center of a right-to-die case." This is NOT a 'right to die' case. It is another manifestation of the 'right to choose serial killing', only this time it is an abusive husband and his death obsessed ghoul lawyer seeking to abort Terri Schiavo. I'm getting really tired of the liberal leftists puking dnc operatives lying so openly, aren't you? Time for the dnc to go ... I'll not say where, but it's hot for 'teacher'.

So much for protecting Terri Schiavo's right to due process.

Something like 19 judges and 7 courts have reviewed the Schiavo case. I have to say that she's probably received more due process than 99.99% of the people that ever step in a court house...

And even still, she deserves 1 more....and then 1 more....and then 1 more....etc. until her evil husband is defeated in his attempt to legally murder her. She is not accused of any crime so don't compare her to the other 99.99% that have stepped into a court house.

The irony is that FL judges dodge decisions by saying "write your legislature". Well the legislature acted.

You also forget that most of the judges absolutly HATE jeb bush with a passion. It is few judges who are not democrats.

It has been posted here before that only a couple of judges have found so-called "fact" or made rulings. The rest have just said that's his call, or not my jurisdiction. Perhaps when one of the legal folks stops around, they can give us a clearer account.

I am not comparing Terri Schiavo to a criminal. People not accused of crimes go into courthouses for all sorts of reasons (divorce, bankruptcy, etc). Otherwise, I didn't mean to suggest anything more than that the obstacle to those seeking to prevent Terri's death seems to me to be the law itself, not the judges applying it. Although, that's actually somewhat unclear now since there hasn't yet been a ruling (that I'm aware of) on the law that was passed last year.

I have no real opinion to speak of on the Terri Schiavo case; I haven't even followed the issue but in passing. I just happened to stumble into this thread and that first comment on due process struck me as odd.

True.

Read this CONTINENT DEATH -- the facts of the slippery slope.

We are seeing this unfold before our eyes. Used to be I couldn't understand how the socialist state and the holocaust began -- well, the killing part begins like this. The other has been progressing since . . .

Perhaps I WAS a bit too harsh in that comment. Permit me to appologize.

I HAVE followed this issue from the day it hit FreeRepublic and the push to save her began. There was once a time when threads about her ran into the many-hundreds of comments within a couple of hours of being posted. If you search for her name and look at the earliest posts, you'll see some of the knock-down-drag-out fights we all had. Lately, they only wind up with 10 or 20 comments (like this one.) There have been many opinions ranging the full spectrum and some of them have compared her to people on death row. I thought you were yet another. I came loaded for BEAR. Sorry.

I didn't take your comments amiss at all. I just wanted to refer to a litany of half-truths and lies from hostile media. Terri is regularly referred to as brain dead (no), comatose (no), PVS (no), hopeless (no), and so on. They make it sound as if it is just pulling the plug on a person on life support; but she's never been on life support. They mention all the 19 judges, but don't mention these are not reviews of the actual facts in the case or (so to speak) retrials of the case. They are routine affirmations of another judge's findings, which are about impossible to change, even if they are lies -- as they are in Terri's case. Finally, they always call it a "right-to-die" case, but this is a treatable, disabled woman with many years to live. She's not dying. She is being put to death.

The real irony of the case is that her husband has been using his legal guardianship to kill her -- when we have every reason to suspect she is brain damaged from him trying to strangle her in a domestic fight 14 years ago. The courts are going to finish murdering her for him.

If you want to bone up on the case, Freeper posts have been very informative. It's fascinating (and heartbreaking).

Hi, T'wit. That picture of Terri above goes along with your words, and for the same reason: Terri is a very real person.

Michael used to get her out of bed, into the community -- now he does not. Why not? Because then it would be obvious to the world that she is not some poor dying person who needs to be put out of her misery!

It is NOT Terri who has changed, but MICHAEL!

So -- all the talk about 'coma' through all these years was a deliberate disinformation campaign. .

Do we know if Felos and Michael perpuated that lie? Did they or those close to them claim that Terri was comatose? I had to correct my local paper (as did others), they did make the change, but WHY in 2003 was that word still being used when Terri CLEARLY was not in a coma after her initial hospitalization?

It was the most frustrating thing to me during those knock-down-drag-outs we had in the beginning of this issue. I remember telling one guy that I could see what the husband got out of Terri's death (freedom with his new honey, not to mention a cool $700 G's of insurance money) and I could see what the lawyer got out of it in attorneys fees. I then asked that Freeper what he/himself got out of her death. I repeatedly asked him and NEVER got an answer. I simply cannot see what the average "Joe" gets from Terri's death. But so many on this forum were pushing hard to let her die. In spite of seeing the recent videos of her obvious responses. I'm still baffled by it and will NEVER understand it. Maybe they were all Trolls. I thought people pulled for the underdog. She's the ultimate underdog, just like the unborn. Can't speak for herself and must rely on us to speak for her.

I can say unequivocally that "WE THE FREEPLE" spoke louldy, clearly and continuously in her defense and I believe (Just MHO) that WE were the driving force in Jeb Bush finally stepping in and doing what he did. That we can all be proud of each other for. Keep up the fight.

BUMP for truth...

Dr. Hammesfahr, who examined Terri and is willing to treat her free of charge (if only MS would allow it) gave an excellent radio interview in which he clearly debunks the false and misleading information disseminated by Felos over the last 10 years. Felos has never allowed full access to Terri's medical records or ANY of the malpractice trial transcripts and exhibits. Where there's smoke, there's fire, imo.

Dr. Hammesfahr's interview at Highway2Health here.
