I actually had a friend a few years ago with an attractive teenage daughter who thought that. He said "we talked about sex and she won't do anything physical until she and I have discussed it".Yeah, right! I'll be sure and talk it over with you first, Dad!
LOL! and EEEEW!
The chances of my giving my mother the head's-up would have been pretty slim. NO way I would have told my father, no way...

"Personally, I didn't know her, but she was still part of us," said cheerleader Laura Green, 15, of Knoxville, Tenn.
For some reason, I picture Ms. Green flipping her hair when saying this. (And she sounds fatuous inside my head, bee.)

The article says that there was no evidence of sexual assault. Which is not the same as saying there was no evidence of sexual activity. No clothes, alcohol, and being in two guys' room suggests that there probably was sexual activity of some sort.

No, parents need to trust their children and hope/plan for the best. I just would not want to have to deal with a tragedy like this involving my daughters.

Has he received the call for clearance yet? Oh man.

Daddy, could you please go kill my boyfriend...? LOL! You're right. No matter how my daughter phrased it, that's the question I'd hear....
A friend of ours has a daughter who's a senior in high school this year -- some of the things she's told her mom about scare the hell out of me. I shudder to think what she hasn't told her mom.

Regardless, it's tragic and a good lesson. God help me in ten years when my daugther is 18.
You can't wait till she is 18. You will be worrying about her when she is 14.

What an incredibly sad story.

Why did she go to their room? A) She was drugged, or,
B) She was really, really stupid.
Have I missed any possibilities?
To: hellinahandcart
Throw a few tropical drinks into the mix, and it's even more likely to happenEspecially if you're naked?

Oh, please. Sometimes children get hurt when they play around. Speaking of children, where the hell were their parents? I guess they will get a chance to discuss this accident with them at the funeral. One of things I hammer into my son (10) is that the mistakes you make when you get older have serious consequences...jail, injury, death. When you're younger you have Mom and Dad to protect you from most things...but when you're on your own, you have to exercise better judgement.
A tragedy for sure....but being drunk in a hotel with 2 strange men is not exercising good judgement.

Darwin's Award... ? No. The woman that runs the Darwin Award web site primarily only likes to make fun of dead men.

Yes! "Like, she's gone but not, you know, forgotten. This is sooooo sad. What was her name again? I'm sooo hungry! When's that party starting? etc..."

Are you basing this theory on photographic evidence? Please post!
