The 'Bizarre Rant' That Destroyed Howard Dean
NewsMax ^ | 1/21/04 | Limbacher

Howard Dean's "bizarre rant" after his defeat in Iowa is looking like the fatal blow to his campaign, according the New York Post and others.

"I used to be on the Dean bandwagon, but now I feel as if he's imploding," said medical student Eliza Shulman.

"I was really scared when I saw him on TV. I can't believe I used to be for that guy. It's embarrassing."

The Post quoted "stunned" strategists for Democrat rivals, including this one: "I don't know how he'll ever be able to convince voters that he has the gravitas, temperament and judgment to be president."

The two-day-old outburst continues to be the talk of the nation. Jay Leno last night had his audience roaring with jabs at the former front-runner: "Did you see that speech Howard Dean gave last night? I heard that the cows in Iowa are now afraid of getting mad Dean disease."

On "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart showed comical footage of a previous rant in which Dean practically choked on his own hatred as he vowed to send President Bush "back to Crawford, Texas." Stewart likened him to Gollum, the split-personality creature from "Lord of the Rings," and showed a graphic with Dean's face superimposed on Gollum's body.

Republican strategist Kellyanne Conway told the Post, "This was the latest episode in the new reality show: 'Howard Dean's Freak Show.'

"He comes across either as a child who's throwing a temper tantrum and taking his ball and going home from the sandbox, or a grown man whose temper is really disturbing."

There was a post a while back comparing Dean to Hitler, quite a few FR posters thought that the comparison was in poor tastes. But, I promise, as I listened to that rant of his, I thought wow this sounds like some old Hitler sound clips.

His "bizarre rant" didn't destroy his campaing. The fact that he allowed his true colors to shine through his phony smile and calm "front" did. "Bizarre" is natural for him.

"I was really scared when I saw him on TV. I can't believe I used to be for that guy. It's embarrassing."

You ought to be ebarrassed, if you've been giving your support to a loose cannon like that--and scared too, not only of Dean but of your own obviously shaky judgment. Dean is not much different from the rest of the Democrat Freakshow. They should all be laughed off the stage. We should all be embarrassed that they are serious contenders for the presidency. And we had all better be terrified at the thought of one of these screwballs being sworn in as President of the U.S.

""He comes across either as a child who's throwing a temper tantrum and taking his ball and going home from the sandbox,"

Or taking his ball to another party [Greens] or sitting home if he thinks he was Borked. Bad news for the Democrats either way.

Frankly, I'm disappointed that Dean imploded so soon. He could have been far more useful at a later time.

Dean is not dead. Homer Simpson makes a strong comeback every episode.

Next move: Dean loses nomination and goes to the Greens.

The America sheeple have spoken and gone baaaaahhhhhhhh. They are "scared" of Dean and his playful howl. Dean was rapping and whooping it up for his troops and the sheeple are "scared".

Earlier Glenn beck said "Here's a sample from American Idol, I think it's a rap, but I'm not too sure..." Then all of a sudden the Mad How rant came on, it was hilarious.

Wow! Does this just speak volumes regarding those that vote democrat and or are liberal?

Memo to Libs: Why does it take a 'bizarre rant' to expose a lib of being too looney?

It always HAS been and always WILL be about 'perception' to these voters. As long as democrats/libs can keep their temperment, true convictions of ideology neatly tucked behind the curtain and come off as having gravitas, cojones, pretty-boy looks, seemingly intelligent, do they have their masses voting for a 'democrat' on the ballot.

This is one of many reason why 'facts' become inconvenient to democrats/liberals. You can't stand on something you can't explain. So here comes the lies, deceptions, manipulations, 'words taken out of context' defense and, perceptions.

Majority of democrats and liberals will never get this until one day an event occurs like the Dean meltdown exposing the empty shell underneath when one will say, "I can't believe I used to be for that guy. It's embarrassing."
