I am bitter about it.

It's a bitter subject for a lot of people. Of course there are two sides to ever story, there really are deadbeat dads out there, not all of them were created by bad judges giving stupid payoffs.

IMHO they used the wrong solution to a legit problem. The big problem was that ex-spouses had no real method to persue a deadbeat, if they'd just declared child support to be a bill like any other and persuable thorugh similar means (ie collection agencies just like the electric company) that would have fixed the situation. Instead they came up with this whole central pay system that's just psychotic.

See I'm on the other side, my dad decided $125 a month was too much even though he was pulling down about 80K/ year and we learned just exactly what could be done about it under the old system (not a damn thing). So I'm bitter about the legitimate problem that they "solved" through the worst means possible.
