No and neither can you. Neither of us can see into the future so stop acting like we can.

Agreed, no one can satisfy everyone, but the above are two VERY important issues where he is lacking.

I've had just about enough of your vapid bush hating spew:)

Seriously, I lost years off of my life during the 2000 election & the FLA vote counts on GW's behalf, and have thanked God he was president since we were attacked. I believe he is still far preferable to anything the Demos can field.

Having said that this lockstep, 'your with us or agin' us' 'bot crap is making me nauseous. The day there's no variety of opinion here is the day I'll pack up & leave.

Give it a rest! Maybe you put the domestic agenda ahead of national security but after spending most of my adult life around the Air Force, I do not.

You know nothing of either my military experience or my stand on national security issues. So respecfully, you give it a rest.

...even on the AOL poll recently it was the #1 issue by far.

I care little what AOL users think on the issue.

You are hiding your head in the sand if you think that domestic policy is going to trump national security.

President Bush has an exceptional foriegn policy record. That my no means gives him a pass on domestic issues. One could argue, rightfully so, that the illegal immigrant guest worker program profoundly degrades our national security if enacted.

Not to mention the DemocRAT candidates want an ever larger piece of the pie for domestic programs and less for national security. Some of you seem to forget that fact when attacking the President or do you?

I have not indicated who will be getting my vote, nor have I ever spoken positively of any Democratic candidate. Why do you make these inferences? I have disagreed with President Bush. I have not attacked him. Will you please recognize and respect the difference?

Where did you get that exceptional foreign policy record? We have been kissing Arafat's behind, we have been sucking up to the Chinese communists, and we are spending billions to satisfy African dictators. Last I checked we are still paying UN dues. You lost me.

Besides, do you really think Dim campaigns have time for us? It would be more likely that DU and others are toying with us. The actual Candidates Of Evil Democrat presidential campaigns seem to be a little preoccupied in New Hampshire.

I've been reading a couple different left sites other then the DU .. and yes there are some that have been keeping an eye on FR

Most of these folks wont hear it. Many of them live and breath their political party, and little else matters. Like I stated earlier, if Clinton would have spent money like this, and suggested that millions that have broken our laws be rewarded, these very same people would be the most outraged, and would be going after Clinton's head by any means possible.

I find it all very distasteful. IMO, not the type of people you'd want on your side anyway.

You finally wrote something I agree with -- feel exactly the same way.

Thanks Ma. I'm glad to see some can at least look beyond their little political party and be truthful.

I feel sorry for them. I have always thought that if you want to make sure you are on the straight and narrow always question who you follow and check their answers against their actions. And you are right if a dem pulled this domestic agenda these Bushbots would be screaming.

I get so bored by many of the same old arguments. Look, I certainly haven't agreed with many of the things the President has done or proposed. But I also have to look at the overall picture here. And on the overall scale, GWB still is the closest person to my core beliefs and values. Do I hate the spending? Yep. And don't even get me started on the Immigration plan.

But there is simple a thing called reality that I must follow. And that reality says that there will NEVER be a candidate that will match my wants and needs 100%. Never. So, I have to vote for the one that most closely matches those expectations.

And GWB is still the man.

That said, I will respect anyone who applies this rationale to their choice- GWB or not. But I would also hope that those who will not vote for GWB this time can also respect the reasons why we choose to support him. None of us are ever going to agree on the why's, the what's, etc. But for God's sake, all this mud slinging is getting old very fast, and makes us look no better than the scum slingers on the left.

He has just picked up the load that was given to him, shouldered it, and set out to correct it.!

This is true. And its a position that we've all experienced in our home/job: cleaning up other people's messes. In politics, especially in the historical politics of the left...there are many messes...some of which will take several years to scrub clean. But when your job is the POTUS and you have to deal with all of the complexities that come with the job...its a different ballgame. A bucket and a bottle of Mr. Clean won't cut it. Idealogies and attitudes take time to change, re-education (from the brainwashing of the left in all levels of American society) takes time, bureacracy takes time to change; and with change, there is always compromise and sacrifice. Thats where we're at right now.

President Bush has proposed a cap on increased spending for this fiscal year at 4% and a proposal is going forward to allow him to outsource more Government jobs to contractors here in the States.

The problem with outsourcing jobs to contractors is the Federal Employees Union -- most obstructionist bunch of non-workers you will ever meet. If employees worked for contractors, they still cannot strike, but you could sure fire the worthless ones. That's why they don't want outsourcing to American contractors.

Didn't spend almost 8 years watching San Antonio ALC wage board get by with some of the worst work habits in AFMC for nothing. How about beer cans in the C-5's where they were supposed to be overhauling and repairing equipment during Depot Maintenance or workers found sleeping or 1 supervisor for 2 employees?

If the President had the authority to start outsourcing these wage board jobs in DoD, they would be going to certified mechanics employees by the contractor. In AFMC, you don't have to be certified to work on our planes.

Some of you think the President can do whatever he wants and forget the basic principles of the Constitution. The President submits to Congress a budget and his proposals and it is up to Congress to pass or reject those proposals. As I said on Immigration and I will say now, Congress is where you need to focus getting more Conservatives.

What the naysayers on this thread tell me with the total focus on the President is that they do not want a Republican President -- if they did, they would be concentrating on getting more conservatives in the House and Senate instead of bashing the President all the time.

Some of you liked it when Clinton was President because you could whine and bash and get Republicans to agree. You still to want to whine and bash but now we have a Republican President a lot of us intend to work to see reelected and you don't like that fact it seems.

Get off the dime and get out there and work in conservative Congressional campaigns for the primary so we can get more conservatives in Congress!
