Here's CNN's spin:
...The crowd began cheering "Howard Dean, Howard Dean," drowning out the LaRouche supporters as they were removed from the room.
Franken, a comedian and self-described liberal well-known for his attacks on the Bush administration and conservative-leaning media, helped carry out one of the disrupters. In the process, Franken's glasses were knocked off his face and broke in two.
Putting them back together with electrical tape, he quipped he had been "deputized" by Dean's security. (snip)

After one guest shot on "Hannity & Colmes," Franken chased Sean Hannity down the hall to his office. Hannity later told his radio audience that he had to call security to have Franken removed from the building. Losing respect for Hannity here. He should have beat this jerk to a pulp.

If you can avoid a fight, do. Otherwise, you open yourself to being sued by your attacker, claiming you started it. Horrible, but true. Hannity had the "call security" option, and he was right to take it. Yeah, you are right. I retract my comment about losing respect for Hannity, though I think my temper might have made me beat him to a pulp anyway.

Attacking a northeastern heckler is no big deal...I want to see him come to the south and try that....

Actually, working this guy up is not as bad for Franken as doing it at a Dean rally as Dean is imploding.

Hannity can be a blind hothead sometimes (God luv 'im!) but in this case he had a cool head. Probably the best reaction he could have had.

Can you imagine running from Al Franken?I can't imagine myself running from Al, but I can imagine Sean bolting. Nothing against Sean, but he would have been in a no win situation. If Sean loses, then how humiliating is that. And if Sean kicks fat Al's behind, then the AP reports "Conservative Talk Show Host Assaults Al Franken."
Now if Al want to wrestle with me, that's another issue. I know I'm couple years older than Al, but at 6'2" and a very fit and and muscular 200 lbs., Al would be crying uncle in about 30 seconds.

No surprise here, Franken is just your typical jack-booted neo-communist.

My guess is that the lawyers are already talking and the victim is waiting to see if the offer is large enough to keep him from filing charges.
In any case, it won't be long before Franken screws with the wrong guy.

This bothers me. How far will the belligerent opposition go?

"Hannity had the "call security" option, and he was right to take it. "
Wrong. I would have stomped his guts out and let the chips fall where they may. Hannity wussed out on this one.

To hell hopefully!

Next stop for Franken,"celebrity" boxing?

... on second thought, maybe Franken was chasin' Sean for something other than a fight.
