No they won't. We would sanction them severely if they did. They will probably kill a few militants and blow up a building somewhere in the Pali areas. Nothing will be accomplished.

Even as we speak Powell is begging them, twisting arms and all, to NOT ACT IMPULSIVELY, because doing so might impact the President's reelection, you know "the best friend Israel ever had?" that is as long as they "tow the line and don't do anything radical to stop the terroristas...

Wouldn't want folks to say on TV that the president's plans for realignment of the middle east are NOT working well. Of course, we all know that President Bush is NOT responsible for all of Israel's security needs, or the peace of the entire middle east... but he will be blamed for not doing enough, or too much, or being wrongheaded in some unimagineable way...

Israel OUGHT to just do a extract and erradicate on the multiple heads of the hydra... instead of arresting them and turning them loose 400 at a time.
