Congratulations on your good fortune today.

It looks like you've got 12 or 14 teams signed up for the FreeRepublic Fantasy Racing Team...

I think the Panthers will definately beat the spread, but that score (29-21) is way too high.
What was the spread, anyway?

If it was more than 3 points, Rush scored the trifecta--picked the Patriots to win before the season started, and stuck with them all the way--but picked the Panthers to beat the spread.

Other than that, it was slim pickins this year.

A rarity where the game was better than the ads.

The Pats offensive line was really something. They earned their victory. As a Panthers fan, it was just nice to see a good game with two worthy opponents!

The spread was 7 points most places. That point total blew me away, though.

Great game by Carolina, the outcome was in doubt to the end. Hope you took my ribbing "impersonally."

LOL no problem. I'm a Lions fan. I'm used to that sort of stuff :)

Will NASCAR need any boobs to attract viewers? Other than Daryl Waltrip and Larry McReynolds that is.

It was a good game, and the Patriots played it like it was choreographed.

Yup. Who figured the Pats would have more rushing yards than the Panthers?

As a Panthers fan, it was just nice to see a good game with two worthy opponents!

Ditto. GREAT game!

Score should have been 38-26. New England tried to lose the game - 2 missed field goals and gave Carolina 3 points. The game was only interesting in the end because of this. Lucky for the NFL that I came down to a field goal because between the mediocre commercials and bad half time show they could have had a real debacle on thier hands.

Whereas Carolina played error-free football? I thought the final score was quite reflective of the relative skills displayed.

If Adam Vinatieri had not made that last kick he would have been the goat of the game with 3 missed field goals. The final score was reflective of 2 mid-range field goal attempts missed and poor a New England coaching decision to squib kick at the end of the 1st half.

The old Charlotte Hornets (now New Orleans Hornets) have teal and purple uniforms. They were designed by none other than designer Alexander Julian. He graduated from UNC.

I'm sure we'll be seeing Jake Delhomme and the Panthers in another Super Bowl soon!

I bet they'll miss the playoffs next year.

Couldn't help but jump in {LOL}.............

Further Conjecture #389: If the Panthers had CONVERTED the two 2-pointers they missed the score would have 33-29 in the Panthers favor with NE having the ball for the final drive.......Except then NE would have needed a touchdown, NOT a field goal, since the Panthers would have been ahead by 4 points with time running out.

But if the Panthers had made the first two pointer they'd have just kicked a regular conversion on the second one. That would have sent the game to OT tied at 32.

I ask again, "Whereas Carolina played error-free football?"
