I know --- it's just that some are so quick to condemn the heritage of this country --- much of it was more "puritanical" than anywhere else, holding certain moral and religious values --- but yet they or their ancestors couldn't stay away from what the waspish types built.

Definitely true. The Puritans were well....puritanical. Just not so they never had fun or enjoyed life like that idiot Menken (sp) tried to make them out to be.
