Hillary's Veepstakes
New York Post ^ | 2/3/04 | Dick Moris

February 3, 2004 -- THE demise of Howard Dean's candidacy opens the door to a Kerry/Clinton ticket in 2004. As long as Dean was favored to get the nomination, Hillary likely wasn't interested in the second slot on the ticket. With the Vermont governor almost certain to go down to a massive defeat, Hillary probably wanted no part in the ensuing carnage. But now that the Democrats have a real chance to win, it makes all kinds of sense to offer her the nomination and for her to accept it. Very few vice-presidential candidates can actually win votes for the top of the ticket: Hillary can. She is the most popular Democrat in the nation. And a woman vice presidential candidate - particularly Hillary - would electrify the Democratic base and guarantee a huge turnout. It would transform a campaign into a crusade.

Why would Hillary accept the VP slot? If they win, she's virtually barred from running for president till 2012. If they lose she would be in a better position for a 2008 run. Or is Arkancide an option?

And if they actually get elected? It would be a shame if the nation were to learn of President Kerry's long struggle with PTSD, when his body was found at Ft Marcy park. Suicide is always tragic. We can count on both Clintons to wipe away a tear at the President's funeral.

Makes NO sense. Since when did Hitlery ever play second fiddle to anyone including the groper??? No way. If she signs on and Kerry wins, she's locked out from running until 2012 at which time her ankles will have been crushed by the massive weight of her elephant thighs as she nears 102 years old!.

This scenario only makes sense if Bill and Hill have already scheduled Kerry's death early in February of 04. The only way she signs on as Veep is if they have already picked out Kerry's plot in Fort Marcy Park!

Hitlery wants the Presidency in 08' to run for 8 ending 2016 to coincide with her Alzheimers.

"She is the most popular Democrat in the nation."

Actually, I think her so-called husband probably holds that slot. However, this is a reasonable scenario and may have been why her campaign manager/chief fundraiser (Bill) was at the Dem strategy meeting last week.

Idiotic.

The Dims can't run two Eastern-based Liberals and win. And they know that.

I don't think Dick Morris track record of predictions has been very strong lately. Although his argument sounds reasonable, I think this 'most popular Democrat' designation is damning with faint praise.

I would bet that the true sales of her book are the best indicator of her popularity, and I would bet that the number of individual buyers is much lower than her declared totals.

And I would bet that Dick Morris does not know any more than I do.

As usual, Dick Morris' prognostications are flawed:

"Remember that of the past 18 major-party presidential nominees, eight have run first for vice president (Truman, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Mondale, Bush, Dole and Gore)."

I mean really, which of these "models" does Hillary want to mimic?

Dick Morris is an idiot on the subject of Hillary! Does he really think the Democrats would risk stripping the senate of 2 democrat senators? Or run 2 candidates, both from the northeast?

The DNC will tell Kerry what he has to do to win in 2004 and since we all know that Kerry is in it for himself, with no concern at all for what is best for The United States of America, he will make the deal.
Per DNC orders, Kerry would play the front man for Mrs Klinton who will dictate policy. Kerry is too stupid to realize that his marriage from hell is only temporary - until Mrs Klinton can arrange his tragic suicide (most likely by repeatedly shooting himself in the head before driving his body out to Chappaquidic and driving himself off a bridge).

You know, political parties are not like sports teams, we should not be fanatically loyal to them no matter what. This point must be made to the grassroots, honorable Democrats. The future of this nation and therefore the future of the world is at risk. The USA saved the world 3 times in the 20th century, this time mankind must be saved by grassroot Americans, we cannot afford to pull a punch! The liberal socialist must be completely defeated.

Morris is often wrong, but its hard to argue with what he is saying here. Shrillary has NOTHING to lose by taking the VP position. And dont think Kerry isnt craven enough to give it to her to win. She would definitely help turn his campaign into a "crusade" as Morris puts it. And worse, help push Kerry into victory in a close race, which I expect.

Why would Hillary be from the Northeast. She can just as easily be from Chicago, "ya know".

Winning the midwest is key to victory. They dont care about the south.
