Imus is a dirtbag. His sensibilities are indistingishable from his butt buddies, Chris Matthews and Howard Fineman. I heard some of this interview. Imus is part of the Cheney-Rumsfeld are evil crowd. Bush is a nice guy taking evil advice from liars. That's their premise. But ulimately, Imus is trying to sell advertising. Nothing more.

Imus is a grumpy old dried up prune, who loves to dish it out but doesn't like it to be dished out to him
I can not stand him.

I would agree and add it's not clear he can think logically on his own. You might want to also add Mo Dowd, Eric Alderman and the NYT to the list of his butt buddies.

If you listen to Imus on a regular basis, you'll understand that Imus had been a supporter of Bush and a supporter of the war in Iraq from Day 1. But he was always at odds with his sidekick Bernard McGuirk, who took a very hands-off approach with Iraq (similar to what Pat Buchanan would have said about the war).
Once it became clear that these "weapons of mass destruction" would never be found in Iraq, Imus realized that what McGuirk had been saying for the last year was correct, and I'm sure he's felt very betrayed by the Bush administration. I don't feel the same sense of betrayal, for the same reason that Bernie McGuirk doesn't -- we never bought into the WMD crap in the first place.

Imus is part of the Cheney-Rumsfeld are evil crowd That's today but tomorrow he will change with the wind. He announced he and his wife are republicans and he voted for Bush yet now says he's pulling for "his man" Kerry. Go figure.
I heard part of the interview and was shocked that McCain acted honorably in defending GWB.
