FCC should revoke MariTEL's licence FCC also has the option to wait until 2004 before it rules on this case. If by that time MariTEL has failed to build out its infrastructure as it agreed to do when it purchased AIS1 and other marine mobile bands, FCC can revoke the licenses to the frequency bands it auctioned off in 1998. Given MariTEL’s current financial difficulties it is unlikely that it will make the 2004 deadline.
