>>..Where is Richard Armitage..
He's in charge of the carrot & stick approach...he tells the other side if they don't take the carrot, we'll deliver the stick in a most unpleasant manner...

Of course you are right. We were told at the very beginning of this that there are things we would know and things we would not know. Nothing is going to be said for sure until these weapons are in safe hands.

Kerry saw the same intelligence. The media has an agenda: defeat President Bush by any and all means, the dirtier the better.
Nice work, MJY1288.

Methinks, we are in the middle of serious negotiations with Syria as I type this. Me thinks as you typed this (or that as the case may be) it was 05:58AM Monday morning in Damascus. Now explain why yourthinks we'd, whoever "we" are, be negotiating at 05:58AM with Syria or anybody for that matter!

Pre 9-11, we had the leisure to think and discuss what we should do.
Post 9-11, we act. And act fast.
I don't see what poeple don't get.
One of my favorite quotes:
I'm under the impression that all terrorists are like wasps from the same nest. It is fruitless and pointless to try to figure out which wasp stung us and which wasp did not. Destroy the nest and every wasp you find in the nest. 98 posted on 08/19/2003 9:19 AM EDT by carton253

The latest uncovering of the Nuclear Bazaar that was going on between the "Axis of Evil" members and others in the Middle East and the Horn of Africa has completely legitimized President Bush's remarks in his 2002 SOTU address when he warned of these gathering dangers that we are facing. Quietly behind the scenes he has lead the fight against our enemies and has never taken credit for what he and his team has been able to accomplish since September 11th, 2001.

I don't have a single thing to add.
Except, maybe, why is the Bekaa Valley of interest to my brethren under arms?
To: MJY1288
Cogently written, factual, and exposes the biased media, rabid Dems, and FR's naysayers for what and who they are.
This is how the president and we need to counter the garbage being put out there.

No President who respects the Oath he takes to defend this Country could ignore these facts in a post 9/11 world. But not every President cares about the Oath. Perks of office are enough for some of them. The perks are there, no matter what.
Bush was quite clear when he said that he wasn't "going to kick the can down the road". Do we want to address the problems we face, or just stick our heads in the sand and hope nothing bad happens?
The choice is clear.
To: MJY1288
Wish President Bush had had your talking points before he sat down with Tim Russert today. Maybe he'll use them in his radio address next weekend! Thanks for a good post.
