Yep. It's really not a free country when the media is this negatively influential on the voters. Not free at all. It might be different if the people weren't so ignorant, but they are.

I've seen this quote here, and my question is nastier than WHAT? I've seen it reported that he asked her to work for his campaign, and that maybe (after all, it was The Sun) her dad said he thought maybe Kerry was "after" her. I haven't seen any other alleged "facts" of the situation - just that there is an "intern issue" etc. Of course, these rumors imply infidelity. But for it to be "nastier than reported," it would seem that something would need to be "reported" in the first place. Not even Drudge has done that.
