Zias said the question of whether Jesus was nailed to the cross or simply tied to it remains a mystery. "There is no evidence whatsoever he was nailed," he said. "The Gospels say he was crucified and leave it at that."

Like the Jesus Seminar, so many of these people are too obvious in the laziness. The only record of Y'shua' [Jesus] crucifixion is in Scripture - but then they ignore Scripture when it speaks. Of course He was nailed!

The other disciples therefore said to him, "We have seen the Lord." So he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe." And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!" Then He said to Thomas, "Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing." And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"

John 20:25-27

It makes you wonder about both the reporter and the so-called "expert". Hey, if they don't have a Bible, they can check their hotel drawer.

I had thought the same thing about doubting Thomas.

Back in the 70's our Sunday School teacher was a surgeon. He was also president of the local medical society. He once told the class in detail of the medical results of crucifixion. One thing I remember was that he said the accounts in the gospels were medically accurate.

Something I particularly recall was the part where the soldier stabs him with a spear to see if he were dead and fluid came out. He told us what that indicated although I don't remember exactly what now.

Gee, I'm so surprised that the "experts" missed this verse. /sarcasm

Thanks. I was just about to point out the resurrection narrative in John's Gospel. These so-called "experts" are a complete joke.

Didn't see your post before I did mine. Also, from Psalm 22 starting in verse 16:

a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. 18 They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.

Maybe Mr Foxman can get the Prophets and the Psalms and the law re-written too, it seems to all point to Jesus.
Mr Foxman, you had some great forefathers, and we love you because of it!

24 Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!"
But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it." John 20

This happened with in a few days of the Lord's crucifixion and resurrection, his hands had been pierced by nails and his side pierced by a roman spear.Today's "experts" are generally anti Christ liberals who, professing themselves to be wise, hate God, Christ and Christians, as well as atheist and agnostic conservatives and we are their greatest obstacle in the hostile takeover of our free republic form of government. We know who they are and we know that lying is of no consequence in their minds, these deluded people feel they are above the law and have progressed to pathological lying in their quest, they teach lies and revisionist history whenever and wherever they can in the public school systems, in the courts and in political gatherings, and now their lying has attacked the one true God and His Holy Child Jesus Christ.
These people have been destroying this country for 50 + years now and their recent attacks have increased in duration and savagery. Will the conservatives stand up and stop them or will they, as happened in the national socialist movement in Germany in the early 1930's, lie down and let them destroy our great American heritage and freedoms.

Thank you for posting scripture. These days when it is so easy to do a search on the Bible on the internet.

I searched for Thomas because I knew he is the one that wanted to see Jesus' wounds. It took me about a minute to find the correct scripture, and I'm just a lowly stay at home mom.

Thanks for posting this, safisoft. This is the scripture I was thinking of while reading this. In John 20:23-27 (The Living Bible), it is mentioned three times of the wounds in His HANDS and side. Nothing is mentioned of his feet. Were they tied to the cross or left to hang free. That would make the death faster, and there would be no need to break his legs (bones) as was prophesied.

Ther might be a Gideon Bible there, if some liberal didn't remove it because:
- it violated his constitutional right to not be offended.
- it contains hate speech;he must protect the unwashed
masses from such things.
