Dane, you simply aren't worth dialoging with. Can you please find someone else?

No problem, if you don't like someone pointing out that basically on this thread that you were ready to give a defacto vote to Kerry and the prospect of Janet Reno II, so be it.

But, IMO, maybe you should think before you post and not get all indignant about someone commenting on your own words.

Sweetie, the only way to make him go away is to just ignore him. And you should, because he's simply not worth the trouble to argue with. Jack-boot licking statists never are.

I am not a lawyer, I am not offering legal advice, and (so far as you know ;>) I might even be 'lying through my teeth.' Please keep that in mind as you consider the following:

Okay, so let me get this straight: The Ruger mini-14 is NOT covered by the AWB?

Some factory Mini-14s were covered by the AWB. The Mini-14/20GB had a bayonnet lug, threaded muzzle and flash supressor; and Ruger made Mini-14s with pistol-grip folding stocks as well.

Does anyone know if the after-market plastic and fiber-glass stocks and clips are covered? If so, it would seem this would simply hurt Colt, Bushmaster et al that manufacture AR-15 variants as people move to the mini-14 and buy the pistol-grip stocks and extended clips separately.

I believe adding too many of the 'evil features' listed in the AWB to a post ban Mini-14 (or even a pre-ban rifle that was not previously configured as an 'assault weapon') could constitute construction of an illegal 'assault weapon.'

And then, of course, there are State laws...

;>)

Hey that's all your opinions and your right to have it, but I would request from you all to have the courage and the intellectual decency to ping me if you are going to mention me by name in one of your replies.

Joe ~ that's why there are so many different home defense devices available.

I don't have an AR-15, I do have two Ruger Mini-14's in .223 one is a SS Ranch Model and the other is a bullpup with a 90 rd drum mag, both are scoped and I also have 30 and 40 mags for them.

I have a scoped Remington Mod 700 BDL in 30.06 and a Mossberg mod 500 with double pistol grips for porch dusting ~ also a few other rifles and some handguns. :)

It will be more that 2% that he loses.

The United States of America and the Republican Party are the only two enities in the universe that treat their friends worse that they treat their enemies.

Hey dan lay out the Kennedy Center fire legislation, the Drunk Murderer attached, that our two Communist Pukes voted for?

I Really want an issue to lobby the State's Firearm Owners against these two Slugs with. Perhaps this is it?

In the 17 years I've been collecting fire arms, what's available has remained pretty much the same.

Evidently you don't follow the market for the 100,000 full-auto rifles that Congress decided in 1986 to let us peons trade amongst ourselves for the rest of the life of the Republic.

Little parts of those that are essential for auto-fire have gone from a few hundred bucks to $5,000-$10,000 or so.

What should be $40 worth of parts is the difference between a $500 AR15 and a $10,000 M16 conversion.

Dane, has anyone ever pointed out that you admit you are "ready to give a defacto vote" to more gun prohibitions simply for political reasons?

Have you ever made an oath to honor & defend our constitution, dane-boy?

Good letter! This is the ideal response of those who support Bush to those of us who have had it with him.

Many are saying that if you sign a renewal of the Assault Weapon Ban, they will stay home in protest and NOT VOTE this November.

Good letter. I won't stay home though I just won't vote for Bush.

The house passed the bill without the ban. That is several hundred Republicans voting with us. There were 10 traitors in the senate. The rest voted with us. We have some traitors in our midst that need to be dealt with.

NOW GET A GRIP!!!! DON'T THROW THE BABY OUT WITH THE BATHWATER.

Most of the people on this thread raising hell and condemning the Republicans HAVEN'T GIVEN A DIME TO THE NRA OR TOM DELAY. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO SHUT THEIR MOUTH AND OPEN THEIR WALLETS. And don't just say you are helping by giving 10 dollars a year to the GOA. Hell most members of congress don't know who the GOA is. Forget the RMGO who raised such a stink with false info a few days ago.

These loudmouths here need to put some cash, time and energy into working for the people working for us instead of against them.

OTOH, if the main enemy is the type who wears pinstripes, the 30-06 bolt gun could prove very useful.

Nah you are just a fatalist.

Bye, don't let the door hit you on the way to a Janet Reno II.

Gotta go you all, it's been fun watching you all thump your chests and you all trying to bring about your worst nightmare, a Kerry presidency and Janet Reno II.

Have fun with your rants

Dane,

You really have to stop this. I am REALLY uncomfortable when we are in agreement on something (;-])

These loudmouths need to get a grip and work for the people helping us with their time and money instead of running their keyboard with the sky is falling BS. I will bet fully half have not given a dime to pols or organizations helping the people on our team.

Well said. The Democrats are vulnerable to really being made obscure. Between the votes on this, and the homosexual support, this is the first time we can truly marginalize the democrat party. As of now the issues in this up coming election will be God, Guns, Gays, Ecconoy, and Military. GGGEM.

Democrats loose on all five.
