Unfortunately, with civilian employees you have to walk a fine line. They aren't subject to the UCMJ and work within a job description that protects them.

Being able to assign them unsavory duties is limited to what is in their job description. Now, the alternative is to re-write the job description which once took me about four months to accomplish...then duties were adjusted according to the new job description.
