What's wrong with instant background checks? Do you prefer waiting a couple days?

How about no backdoor registration at all, like it was before 1993, at least in the free states.

There is no "loophole". ALL sales by FFLs must go through NICS. The alleged "loophole" is sales between private citizens.

Furthermore, in Illinois, private citizens MUST record the buyer's FOID number AND wait three days before delivering the firearm, following the day of sale.
