They don't, they are the pampered sons of the wealthy elites and it's all a game to them. This will be the first election since 1968 that I will not vote in. I used to tell friends that it was important to vote that the great issues of the day were decided in elections. Well, I was wrong and my friends that told me that voting was a waste of time, and that "they are all thieves" were right. I intent spend this election with my friends at my bar laughing at all the fools that think either the rats or the gop is going to do any damn thing to help anyone other then themselves.
In 94 I worked hard to elect a GOP congress. Waste of time.
You can't let the pampered sons of the wealthy elites affect your voting decisions --- they're actually harmful to their candidate with their arrogance --- but there are two choices in this election --- vote third party -- something like the Constitution Party --- or think about what happens if a democrat wins --- Kerry for example --- the economy is bad but it went bad under Clinton ---- the democrats believe in outsourcing every bit as much as the republicans.
Put a bunch of "newbies" and "troublemakers" in office..
Some of them will even act according to their principles, at least for a few years..
If nothing else, a large influx of non-major-party related representatives in congress will shake things up a bit..
