Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry said on Thursday that he was not referring to all Republicans as "crooked" in an off-the-cuff comment captured on camera -- just his political opponents' "attack dogs."

After a union rally in Chicago, Illinois, on Wednesday Kerry told a worker that "these guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group of people I've ever seen." His microphone was still on when he made the comments.

That little press conference was plain weird. I haven't seen so many fat faces squeezed into a tight camera focus in a long way - they were literally craning over to be seen behind Kerry.

Kerry said the Bush campaign is launching three "attack ads" tonight. Let's wait and see if he's lieing about that, too.

"this is the most important race of our generation."

This statement astounds me. Does this guy take himself just a little too seriously?

Screen shots! Thanks. OK, here's Kerry:

"Every senator here knows more about creating jobs than the Republicans do"...
Bwahahahahhahaha!

Am I the only one here who thinks that Kerry might have been referring to the union thugs and not to Republicans?

I was talking about nameless, faceless people who don't really exist,

Huh? nameless, faceless people who don't exist. Huh?

That's as bad a Kuchinich waiting for the mothership.

If they are nameless, and they are faceless, and they don't exist, why the F are you addressing your comment to them????

...as well as doctored photographs appearing to place Kerry alongside Jane Fonda during protests against the Vietnam War.

They had 24 hours to think up some evidence of dirty tactics against Kerry by the GOP, and there it is.

Apparently the Republican attack machine is some Internet poster in a basement with Photoshop.

So he stands by his 'inept and misguided' characterizations of the administration ... and he stand behind his use of extreme profanity ... but now he's hiding ... what a maroon

Gee, do you think maybe his pollsters are telling him that people like and respect and trust the President, and that this kind of talk in public is not going to win him the 'undecided' vot?

Lying, scum sucking, war criminal pig. Oh, but I don't mean Kerry. I'm referring to someone else.

Hmm. You can't be referring to Senior Senator Teddy; he's a civilian criminal pig. Likewise, for Sharpton. Did you mean Tom Hayden, perhaps?

I agree he is self-destructing. Does he think Americans have forgotten all the comments about President Bush's National Guard Service, and the comments about the National Guard itself?

Has he forgotten what the dems have done since they first began the selection of their candidate--which may NOT be him, Kerry?

I haven't.

I guess he forgot that the President called him and congratulated him on his wins?

Kerry is going to be his own worst enemy. The accusations of the DNC minions are so much tail wind, the record of Kerry speaks for itself. He cannot innoculate himself in advance against the consequences of his actions by accusing the Republicans...his own actions speak against him.

Did he, or did he not, marry two heiresses, throwing over the first for the much richer second? Did he, or did he not, testify to congress about supposed crimes of US soldiers against civilians in Viet Nam? Did he or did he not get three purple hearts in less than 6 months, at least ne of which on his OWN recommendation? And what complicity does he have in the death of Senator Heinz, who died in an airplane crash shortly after making negative comments about Kerry? Why has he not released HIS military records, the way he challenged the President to do?

Has he, or has he not had Botox treatments to minimize his wrinkles to make himself more telegenic? Does he, or does he not value the endorsement of Kim Jong Ill?

His record and his accomplishments speak for themselves. He should be ashamed. He is NOT worthy to run in this campaign, and his remarks are transparent falsehoods.

I don't think America has forgotten all of these things, Mr. Kerry.

And I don't think you'll be elected. After all, you have eight more months of this, and you look pretty bad, so far.

Leading Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy shows his skills as a ventriloquist by shoving his hand up John Kerry's ass as Kerry mouths the words "Bush is the Devil"!

Have heard numerous responses from the lying scum democrats, Panetta, etc. on Fox, CNN and MSNBC. They have all mentioned John McCain, in fact Mcain's name hasn't been mentioned this much since the Rep primaries of 2000. You just watch, this guy is going to run as Kerry's VP. What terrific news, can't wait to hear sound bites of McCain condemning Kerry over his anti-Viet Nam era.

Ok, in the latest version of the lying and crooked explanation, Mr "Tough Guy", Mr "Bring It On", The "Flipper", just said he has no intention of apologizinig for calling the president a liar and a crook.

Not only has he been Botoxed, he has also had eyebrow waxing and skin lightening, a la Wacko Jacko.

The press conference was in Washington. CNN, on their web site said "Kerry, who was on Capitol Hill Thursday to meet with Congressional Democrats, he told CNN, "I didn't say it about the Republicans, I said it about the attack dogs."

Someone ought to ask Kerry why he has not BEEN DOING HIS job as a US Senator. Why he has not been "on Capitol Hill" every day. DOING HIS JOB he is being paid for. A job he is not doing but collecting a salary for, is receiving pension money for, is getting perks from.

Kerry is one of the biggest mooches I have ever seen. Mooching off the taxpayer, mooching off his contributors and mooching off his wife. Who mooched off her dead as a doornail first husband.

Yes, I did hear it; I couldn't keep up with the lies he told, starting with "None of these people here (referring to all the Democrats standing behind him) want to obstruct any legislature."
